2017 Fall-Spring TV New/Returning Shows

I forgot to mention yesterday - on the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries channel, they have had a running "A Happy Yule Log" thing on. A fireplace with a tree and fall decorations and various dogs and kittens. For awhile it was just one dog sleeping. Another time, it was a bunch of puppies. Now it's kittens. How do they keep them from peeing on the set or knocking things over? One dog was wandering in and out and behind the decorations. Hurry - it's over at 5 p.m. Then they start running the same Christmas movies over and over and over.................. till December 26. No more Monk or old t.v mysteries or mystery movies.

I was enjoying The Good Doctor, but it's one of those shows that I had to cut as my list of TV shows that I followed was a bit too big. But it's one of those shows I'd catch while on holiday and enjoy and then wonder, why did I stop watching this?

Young Sheldon and Will and Grace are both shows I'm still watching and enjoying. Glad to have two strong comedies to follow.

As for The Orville...watched one episode and did...not...like it. :eek:
 
I'm actually the opposite and am down to so few shows I follow, I can almost count them on one hand.
I've been hearing quite a lot of positive comments about The Good Doctor, so I might give it a try.
 
The Amazing Race returns Jan. 3!

ETA: Here's CBS's Winter Schedule. Looks like Amazing Race has a weird schedule, skipping a few weeks here and there. Celebrity Big Brother will be up against the Olympics and is only three weeks long.

Apparently there is going to be a season 2 starting soon. It looks like it could be hysterical with that group.


ETA: They have season 1 posted online. I'm only 5 minutes into the 1st episode and :rofl:. I have to watch this.

I've seen two specials on the Food Network, Thanksgiving and Christmas, about this guy, Jay Baron, who makes "teeny tiny" real food, with real utensils scaled down to size. Hysterical. Apparently, he is all over Youtube.

I just discovered AXS t.v. For some reason it is only on the digital channel 1108 (there is no 108). Lots of classic rock stories, interviews, concerts and British entertainment things and for some reason pro wrestling. I'm going to record Rod Stewart's Christmas concert on Sunday night.

I've watched half of Imagine (from 1988) that I recorded last night. I don't remember if I've seen it on MTV or VH1 before. A lot of it is early Beatles. It will be on a few more times. p.s. the language is not censored (if anybody cares about that stuff anymore) And John's 75 birthday celebration, which I know I saw before.

PUPPIES!:dog: KITTENS! :cat:I do so wish I got Hallmark!

If you watch the regular Yuletide log channel long enough, you'll see a hand reaching in to put on another log.

So, they probably switch up the animals to reduce the chance of them peeing on set, and maybe even deny of them liquids for a while before they appear (which I would not agree with). But knocking things over sometimes would be inevitable. You probably just have to watch for some time.
