Has anyone figured out why Austria is singing in French?

The only reason I can think of is she has been studying at some kind of French college in Vienna for quite a long time. She does sing in French often and does it beautifully. Though not today.

Not the most convincing staging and she had the GG permagrin ... But I love the song and SHE CAN ACTUALLY SING! So I'll take it. Although I think live it gets a little bit repetitive and lacks some power.
