Just streamed this short episode on Netflix ... for less than 30 minutes, he touched on a lot of issues... jump identification (with guest Eliot Halverson), harness jumps (with Jonathan Hunt) the judging system (with guests Shawn Rettstatt and Gracie Gold), eating disorders/mental health (Gracie), inclusion and equity issues (Eliot, Joel Savary/Diversify Ice and Sharon Cohen/Figure Skating in Harlem), and a bit of cheerleading at the beginning and ending of the show from Michelle Kwan.

He couldn't go deeply in depth with all that in under 30 minutes, but he certainly covered a lot more than I thought he was going to (and there was a bit of entertaining fluff in there as well).

Worth a watch.

I agree! Fell off my chair when I saw Rettstatt!

I wonder if this should go in the Great Skate Debate for greater discussion, as I do think it would be helpful for newer fans of figure skating.

I've made it through most of it. Loved the explanation of the judging system, Gracie's parts, the tutorial on identifying jumps. Jonathan is such a true figure skating fan!

I did notice that he mistakenly says Midori Ito was the 1994 World Champion. Uh oh, honey, how did that make it through the editing process?! Overall this was such a fun episode. Jonathan is an excellent ambassador for figure skating!
