2026 Olys Pairs SP PBP - Veni, Vidi, Wedgie

Thank you to the pairs for giving us a good competition so far (I'm pretending the Japanese skate didn't happen). We needed this after Friday.

The men laid down some good SPs too. Just saying...

We did not. I think it would’ve been easy to get resale but I’m worn out and perfectly content watching it in the hotel. I had a long night of fun last night as there was no skating, and I forget that I’m about to be 40

Is anyone going to tell him that the sprint from 40 to 60 makes the journey from 20 to 40 feel like a marathon in retrospect?
i.e., if you thought the years from 20-40 flew by, hang on to your hat!

Italy has a decent shot at medaling here, so it's not that surprising. I'm sure after the team medal, there's an uptick in interest in skating for the home team.

TBH I'm slightly worried about Kam and O'Shea, too. I feel like her throw karma is running on empty, and their SBS jumps are not the most reliable either. This has been exceptionally well skated so far, aside from the Japanese.

You're making me feel so much better / less ancient . I'm watching on TV and not having FOMO after sitting in those uncomfortable seats and spending so much for last row or nearly-last row end seats. Happy for those who are there, though, that it seems to be a great competition .
