Isabeau Levito Fan Thread!

I forgot to add this clip of a very, very young Isabeau expressing her excitement about going to the Olympics and being the winner for the "whole entire day":

https://www.instagram.com/reel/DTYjBqlEtRR/

The press conferences from Nationals were so fun to watch, especially the interaction between Isabeau and Alysa and Amber. I think they totally misunderstood one of the questions and went off on this amusing discussion of movies and which movie they would be in or represent. Maybe instead of the Big Three they should be called the Ice Princess and her Blades of Glory:

Isabeau has challenged her "rival" to a skate tying speed contest:

For those of you who missed it, here is Isabeau privately being officially told that she made the Olympic team. Julia's reaction is a reminder that it takes a lot of people to get a skater to the Olympics:

My Love Letter to Figure Skating
Isabeau Levito Shares an Intimate Reflection on Growth, Perseverance, and Learning to Trust the Process.
Published on January 19, 2026
https://www.redbullcontentpool.com/international/CP-S-20413

Excerpt:
When I was a child, I worried I’d have to quit skating because the double axel was impossible, or so it seemed. I tried. I cried tears of frustration. I went again, and again. At age 10, I finally nailed it. “Oh, so I am going to make it!”
But I’ve not done this alone. I could have never understood or learned to believe in myself if it weren’t for my coaches reminding me every day, too. Even if it was by yelling at me for not fighting hard enough and messing up the second half of the program, and having me skate it again – all just to prove to me how I can be so much stronger than I believe. [...]
Figure skating has taught me that progress isn’t always linear. Some days you skate perfect programs, and some days you wipe out. It has taught me to trust the process, to push myself, and to find joy in the work I put into it, no matter the outcome. Those lessons follow me off the ice too, reminding me that growth takes time and that passion is something you choose, again and again.

Thanks to @Allskate for finding an alternate link to read this Isabeau article (1/21/26) in the Philadelphia Inquirer by Ellen Dunkel: https://www.inquirer.com/sports/mil...re-skating-isabeau-levito-italy-20260121.html
And here is a link to a non-paywall version of the article:
Excerpts:
“Next season, I really want to switch things around and do new things and have more fun with it,” Levito said, “because this season it was a matter of doing all the skills that I honed, all the things that are the most comfortable and the most reliable. But next season, let’s just start risking things.”
First, there’s that big trip to her mother’s hometown of Milan, Italy, where her grandmother and other relatives still live and where she’ll compete with and against her friends: the other American women, Amber Glenn and Alysa Liu, and many international skaters.
She’s looking forward to being fully immersed in the Olympic experience and having her family see her skate. The opening ceremony is Feb. 6.
“I am going to run this [Olympic] village,” she said. “This is going to be so fun.”
Does Olympic prep include getting a tattoo of the rings, as so many athletes do?
“I just don’t know if I would get a tattoo in general,” Levito said. “I think I’m going to start with the Olympic necklace,” which many Olympians sport.
“If I did get a tattoo, it would be in such a hidden place, and it would be so tiny and microscopic. And I’m thinking to myself, ‘If that’s the circumstances I would get a tattoo under, maybe I should think about it for a while.’”

Thanks @Sylvia. For some reason, this thread never shows up for me when I'm looking in the forums. I can only access it when there is a link to a post in my alerts. I wonder if I'm not the only one and that's why there are so few posts in this thread.

While I'm here, these are some links to a couple of fun behind the scenes videos from Nationals:

If you have someone on 'ignore' here who starts a thread then you won't see that thread. ;)

ETA: Thanks for posting more links - let's grow this thread between now & the Olympics!:encore:

To see some more of younger Isabeau's skating, check out her mother's youtube channel. Over the years, she has posted a number of Isabeau's performances. You can see how strong Isabeau's presentation skills were even at the lower competitive levels. The performances go as far back as her first competition at age 4. (The ballet influence wasn't quite as strong yet, but you can tell that she already had started ballet. )

Isabeau must have done this promotional piece for Venus before she was named to the team because she describes herself as an "Olympic hopeful."
Yes, Olympics sponsorships are usually decided early on.

In case this Jan. 14th video was not posted here:

The Road to Milan: Isabeau Levito on Resilience, Perspective, and Her Comeback
January 23, 2026 • 10 mins
Isabeau Levito is one of Team USA’s brightest figure skating stars, who emerged as a world-class competitor before a serious injury disrupted one of the most successful stretches of her career. Levito made a strong return to the ice, finishing fourth at the World Championships and keeping her Olympic ambitions firmly in focus ahead of Milan-Cortina 2026. In this conversation with NBC News correspondent Stephanie Gosk, Levito opens up about perseverance, pushing through mistakes, and why competing in Milan will mean so much to her. https://www.iheart.com/podcast/552-...e/the-road-to-milan-isabeau-levito-318975938/

Redbull definitely is good at promotion. They've released a bunch of videos and pictures with Isabeau since last summer. The limbo one is super fun. I think the hockey one is even more fun and has gone viral. I'm really hoping that they turn it into a tv ad for the Olympics.

The figure skaters, including Isabeau, arrived in Milan today. There are lots of photos and videos online.

Here are a few:

So excited for Isabeau! All the years of hard work have made her childhood dream come true. She seems to be having a ball. And looks great in all the RL USA gear. I’m jealous. I want the hat, sweater and long jacket! My best friend called me after Nationals to spontaneously tell me how much she and her husband enjoyed Isabeau the most because her skating is so beautiful. She said they didn’t understand why she was 3rd. I said…exactly! (But I did explain the scoring system a bit to her). I had not previously talked about my favorite skaters with her. She lives in St. Louis so her family all really tuned in this year. I’m sure Isabeau will have many new fans after the Olympics.

Isabeau is living her best life, and the Team U.S.A. Instagram account is loving it:

Somebody get Isabeau a Hello Kitty Team U.S.A. pin or we may not see her at Worlds. She is threatening not to leave the Olympic Village until she gets one.

Isabeau doesn't post her own content very often, but she did post a little today, including reposting some other stuff:

I came across this clip of 12 year-old Isabeau talking about why she liked hockey. I'd love to see her go cheer on Laila Edwards and the other women on the Olympic hockey team.

I promise i tidied up after this😮‍💨 (Christina is her roommate): https://www.tiktok.com/@isabeau.levito/video/7602624060228422925

first of many successful ventures in the olympic village ("I want to find the most demure plant" ft. Adam Rippon on Facetime :D): https://www.tiktok.com/@isabeau.levito/video/7602386304793529613

For context: The athletes can adopt plants and care for them while they're living in the Village. If they're still alive at the end of the Olympics they will be gifted to local people afterwards. ETA: This was brought up by both Madison & Amber at the press conference & Amber said there would be a part 2 to Isabeau's TikTok ("shout out to that; you will be very entertained"): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5h8ATuUGXI&t=1565s

She really does love Hello Kitty. There's a Hello Kitty throw on the bed. Fortunately, Amber apparently found her that Hello Kitty team pin she so desperately wanted.

For people who don't watch The Runthrough, this is an ongoing joke, with more to come. Earlier this season, Adam referred to Isabeau as his "daughter." (This was in a part of his podcast where they were talking about Isabeau being a connoisseur of plushies and appreciating a "luxe" plushie someone threw her. Adam loves that. They definitely both love the Team U.S.A. gear and the Olympic Village, too.)

Over the last several days, Isabeau and Christina have been posting and talking about the plants they adopted for their room. Since Adam is Isabeau's father and she is "adopting" a plant, the plant is Adam's "granddaughter." (That's what the name tag for the plant says.) So that's why she Facetimed Adam while they were at the "adoption center."

After Isabeau and Christina got their plants, Christina said that Anthony would be the nanny. (They seemed to think that they otherwise would kill the plants.) In addition to saying that there would be a christening, Isabeau said that they would be making a family tree. She texted Adam and asked him for a photo of himself "absolutely mogging," telling him it was "for science." Adam posted the text on his IG. (Imagine how that could be taken out of context.) So, we can expect a christening. And perhaps an intervention from Social Services?

It's really great that Isabeau is finding ways to occupy herself when she isn't training. She has said she thrives when she has a bit of distraction. Christina posted a photo of both of them with a lot of pins, so it seems like they have been meeting a lot of other people.
