FSU Watch Party Sunday #2: 2010 Olympics FD [3pm CDT/9pm CET]

90% of the Italians FD was skated in hand to hand hold. But whatever I guess.

Their world bronze with this FD was definitely a feel good moment, but it also felt like a retirement gift. It was confusing when they briefly decided to continue.

By the way, it's been AGES since I've seen you in a comp! Budapest 2014, maybe? What gives? :drama:
All the GPFs were scheduled when I had teaching commitments :wuzrobbed I was supposed to go to 2016 Euros but something came up, sadly.

I think I haven't seen this program since 2010 and I am so happy nothing has changed for me

And that was my lord and savior LaKhokh!

Also kind of done dirty by circumstances. Novitski had a head injury and couldn't skate anymore, and the only "decent" partner she could find was new-to-dance freaking Fedor Neoptism Andreev.
Fascinating because Shabalin couldn’t really skate anymore either but clearly with the world title d/s the right team to support

This is reminding me of how I used to go into the V/M uber thread during major competitions and the level of . . . "intensity" would be a very kind way of putting it . . . was quite possibly the highest I've ever seen anything on FSU. I can't say I miss it, but it was entertaining.
