2019 U.S. Novice bronze medalist Isabelle Inthisone's parents emigrated from Laos (here's a feature on her that was published before she competed in the Intermediate Ladies event at 2018 U.S. Nationals from which she withdrew, presumably due to injury, after finishing 12th in the SP): http://littlelaosontheprairie.org/2017/12/28/isabelle-inthisone-lao-americas-figure-skating-phenom/
Her primary coach now is Denise Myers (Bradie's coach, who also coaches current Novice champ Calista Choi).

^I have to say that Karen Chen is looking good. She is sailing thru her jumps w/ the occasional hiccup, but she exudes a more confident attitude on the ice. I see her with natural progression over the course of the season challenging someone like Mariah for a spot on the World team.

Thank you. Yes, Elsa Cheng is skating as a novice officially, but she's also skating as a junior. Elsa is on the I.S.P. as a junior lady and she recently competed at the Philadelphia Summer Classic as a junior. The score of 158 Elsa Cheng earned was at the North American Cup. As for Isabeau, the score of 156 is based on the highest scores she earned at the Broadmoor Open taking into account the qualifying round and championship round. I don't know if the Philadelphia Summer Classic is an N.Q.S. event, but Isabelle earned around 148 at the competition at the international event, so I'm assuming her score will be updated as such. Thanks for the official list.

I think it’s a missed opportunity for USFS. They know who they’re assigning to the international events. They could easily tweet that out.
These competitions are not international events per se. They are "open" competitions held by clubs. Any skater may enter as long as they meet the test requirements. USFS does not assign skaters.

There are Olympians, National Champions and future stars at these events. They should be supported and promoted by the National body for the sport.

I think they don't publicize these events mostly because they are not official/NGB-assignment-only international events, and probably also to keep them lower pressure for elite skaters debuting their programs.
