Does anybody know if there is a way to view Lake Placid Ice Dance on-line?

The last three seasons Lake Placid has had an on-line stream for about $10.00 a day and $25.00 for the whole event. (It was really nice the 2nd year it was available. I don't know about last year because I was at the arena last year).

There's nothing listed on the site right now, but I think there usually isn't very far in advance. We wait. We cross our fingers. And we think all positive thoughts! (And we watch the threads in the Kiss & Cry in case a different link pops up close to the event).

I will be at the arena on Tuesday and will share any news.

The livestream for Lake Placid is up & available here for pre-order now. (You open an account. Then hit the green button that says, "Find Live Event" and then the event is listed along with the red "Purchase Event" button). Prices are the same as before.

Does this company offer replay if you are not able to watch live?

:COP:Still have not seen any lists of the junior & senior teams signed up for tomorrow. Numbers must be up, though, because the time blocked out on the schedule is about a half hour longer than last year for the International RDs at both the junior & senior level. Also the domestic senior event is back this season.

The intermediate & North American Cup novices competed their pattern dances today. 15 novice teams! (7 from Canada).

Intermediate & NAC novice participants & their results from compulsories are posted here:

Here are the 8 U.S. novice teams competing in this year's North American Cup (2019 Nationals placements included):

Elliana Peal & Ethan Peal USA N4
Claire Cain & Andrei Davydov USA N5
Kelsey Schaub & Anthony Haddad USA N7
Juliette Shadid & Lucas Shadid USA (CAN N12 last season)
Nastia Efimova & Jonathan Zhao USA Int1
Zoe Sensenbrenner & Matthew Sperry USA Int3
Avery Landis & Kenny Eckert USA Int5
Emma L'Esperance & Mika Amdour USA Int6

The Senior/Junior international RD starting order photos are posted on IDC's FB now and also tweeted by them - for those without Kiss & Cry section access, I've also posted the link in the Dance Hall discussion thread: https://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/th...antastic-2019-2020.105567/page-9#post-5613098

In Senior, this will be the season debuts of McNamara/Carpenter and Carreira/Ponomarenko and the competition debut of Caroline Green/Michael Green.

In Junior, the 4 U.S. teams are Brown/Brown, Cesanek/Yehorov (corrected), Tkachenko/Kiliakov and Angela Ling/Caleb Wein (debut together). ETA: Yes, @RoseRed is correct below - Ling/Wein debuted at Cannon TX Open in July.

Didn't they do Cannon Open already?

Anthony Ponomarenko posted yesterday that they had a "very exciting day" with Jordan/On Ice Perspectives, so I'm looking forward to that.
Interview video: https://www.instagram.com/p/B0pDgB6HcAQ/
USA Ice Dancers @christinacarreira @pom_pom9 chat before their first competition of the season about their new programs and new goals.
It was a pleasure getting to know Christina and Anthony while shooting with @icedancecom in Lake Placid. Fun fact: Anthony’s parents Marina Klimova and Sergei Ponomarenko were my first coaches to take me to Lake Placid 13 years ago!

Carrying this over from the LPIDI thread in the K&C, you can never tell for sure about the judging of these summer competitions, but if this is remotely accurate, Green/Parsons are about to rocket through the ranks. A team that's only been together for a few months already breathing down the necks of McNamara/Carpenter and Carreira/Ponomarenko is pretty astonishing.

It's a very nice start. I'll wait for the FD--and music;)--regarding all the teams. It is fairly common to see teams arrive at Lake Placid ready to go with one dance and at a more developmental stage with another. Good for all the top 4 senior teams for skating well in their first RDs of the season.

Note: I do want to mention that the RD was always the Greens' strength as both are strong pattern skaters.

Ian Sommerville was just spectacular.

I always like Ian Sommerville. I was hopeful to like them together as a team but I think it’s just too early to tell. I liked both with previous partners. First competition for them, I felt they skated well. Safe skating.

I loved Wolfkostin and Chen though. I feel like she might’ve been going for it a little too hard, a few bobbles here and there but just spectacular!

DelCamp/Somerville at Lake Placid (the video does not have great visual quality, but they do look good together despite the lack of sharp visuals). I love the color of Katarina's RD dress:

The FD dress is pretty too! Katarina & Ian were filmed by Jordan Cowan of OnIcePerspectives, apparently during a practice session? https://www.instagram.com/p/B0uL86tHh61/

This blue on blue (at the prom?) is simply divine:

ITA that DelCamp/Somerville skated well and conservatively. It's just the beginning for them though, so there's a lot to look forward to. As the saying goes, "Every journey begins with a single step." Above all, they both seem happy skating and competing together.

Carreira/Ponomarenko RD at Lake Placid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSt_5NCD7NI
Kindly posted by Sara Rasher, but as with the D/S video, sharpness in visual quality has been lost

Wolfkostin/Chen RD at Lake Placid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ikbkFMlxYfk

Oona/Gage (Brown) RD at Lake Placid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpShYG0mDoQ

-DelCamp & Somerville earned a high enough score to anticipate their being added to the ISP. Think they are the only team in either of the junior events at Lake Placid likely to have done so that was not previously on the list.

-Cesanek & Yehorov's debut--and bronze medal placement--in the Junior Lake Placid International event means that now all of the junior dance teams listed on the ISP have competed at least once this summer.

-Benjamin Starr is back on ice partner search.
ETA: And now he's not? (It's like magic. I post it here & two athletes in a row come right back off the list).

-Litvinova & Collucci and Hauer & Bennett had competitive debuts at Lake Placid. (At least I believe H&B did. I know they had skated in a show earlier, but as far as I've seen, this was their first competition together). Maybe the first event for Schilling & Petrov also?
