Thanks for explaining, @Jeschke. I totally agree with that.

There are feds deciding more wisely in some respect. Besides, those decisions as well as building up such skills are core elements of a trainers work.
Whom e.g. has Schott finally improved her expression with?

Dortmund will be interesting, even though some of last years higher ranking juniors are missing.

Imho Schott always had a decent performance level and skills, already in Essen, but the Huth switched worked out quite well for her obviously.

Unfortuntely her jumping content seems to be somehow the same since...? My fault, 3f is now there.
But no lutz, not even attempts in competition, no harder combos :shuffle:

I guess she is bothered too much with injuries to really live up to the potential, but I would approve some development in her tech content.
(not sure if she has much possibilities for a different FS layout though with one triple missing in hjer repertoire)

Seems like Bosphorus Cup was no total fluke.
Koch/Nüchtern sitting in 3rd in Zagreb (65,70pts; level 4 on all elements :eek::eek:)
M/D 5th or 6th with 61,12pts.

This makes the #eurosrace really interesting now.
Hope K/N can hold on to that in the FD.

These results seem to nail the coffin for Urban/Steffan though :(

Marina Kielmann on the tech panel @alchemy void
(no, not mayer-virtanen, the real one!)

Wow, Dave Kotting and Marina Kiellmann in the same event. :swoon: We are blessed.

I'm expecting Marina's hair to be brassy bleached blonde a la 1994 Skate America, and Dave Kotting to not wear sleeves for one of his programs. If these criteria aren't met, I'll be disappointed. :p

Jagoda preferred skating in Zagreb than here? WTF?!
Where is Jonathan Hess? Gave up on the junior worlds spot?
No idea why Jagoda preferred to skate at Golden Spin, maybe he wanted to have another try to reach the German Fed criteria for the National Team (which are really hard to meet now IMO) but it wasn't worth it for him either, he didn't skate well there.

Hess is injured as per the information of German Fed about the German Senior Nationals in 2 weeks he can't even skate there:
https://www.eislauf-union.de/media1...en-120-deutschen-meisterschaften-in-stuttgart
It must be really serious that he already knows by now that he won't be able to skate there at his hometown. I guess this is the end of an already shitty season for him and no WJC. Hopefully he comes back stronger next season.

Great outing by Scheidt, 145,72pts (11th) incl 3seu3s :respec:
A shame she had no 3rd challenger, she could have been in the mix for the #eurosrace.
Schott came in 10th with 149,74pts. Obviously she is not back in shape after the injury (at the worst time :wall:).

I fear for the 2 spots at euros. euros ladies level is quite high by a lot of skaters right now, to be honest, i cannot see Schott or Weinzierl making Top12 for sure right now 🆘🆘🆘

---

I am a bit  about dance. As much as I like K/N and want them to make it, I don't think they are the better team. They ran out of gas almost halfway and had to work hard to finish. Level 4 in every element (besides the typ choreo lv.1) in both segments leaves me kinda :shuffle: too. Whatever Caruso did with the tech panel, it worked
165,31pts and a 4th place for K/N.
Müller fell out of her 2nd set of twizzles and once again they ****ed it up themselves. 157,08pts, 7th.

With these scores, Urban/Steffan's chances making the team have gone already.

Final #EurosRace standings heading into nationals for #TeamD 🇩🇪 :

Men (1 spot)
430,69 Paul Fentz (GP RUS 220,57; CS CRO 210,12)
350,78 Catalin Dimitrescu (CS CRO 181,66;CS AUT 169,128)
345,08 Thomas Stoll (CS AUT 183,82; CS EST 161,26)

Ladies (2 spots)
304,57 Nicole Schott (CS EST 154,83; CS CRO 149,74)
296,11 Nathalie Weinzierl (CS GER 157,45; CS ITA 138,66)
269,56 Alissa Scheidt (CS CRO 145,72; CS AUT 123,84 )
123,87 Lutricia Bock (CS FIN 123,87)

Pairs (2 spots)
334,28 Minerva Fabienne Hase / Nolan Seegert (CS CRO 172,18; GP USA 162,10)
305,00 Annika Hocke / Ruben Blommaert (CS CRO 160,47 ; GP USA 144,53)

Ice Dance (1 spot)
317,99 Shari Koch / Christian Nüchtern (CS CRO 165,31; CS GER 152,68)
315,19 Katharina Müller / Tim Dieck (GP USA 158,11; CS CRO 157,08)
305,00 Jennifer Urban / Benjamin Steffan (CS EST 154,27; CS GER 150,73)

---

Scenarios for making #TeamD 🇩🇪 for Euros:

Men:
Fentz is safe.

Ladies:
Schott and Weinzierl seem 95% safe.
Scheidt needs either...
...to score 158,86pts at least to have a chance to overtake Schott.
...to score 150,40pts at least to have a chance to overtake Weinzierl.
In both scenarios Schott and Weinzierl could push that mark higher with a higher score by themselves, so Scheidt making it is very unlikely. (sorry @alchemy void )

Pairs:
Both teams are safe.

Ice Dance:
Koch/Nüchtern are making the team, if...
...they win.
...Müller/Dieck not managing to score 159,88pts at least and keep a distance of 7,21pts to them.

Müller/Dieck are making the team, if...
...they score 159,88pts at least and keep a distance of 7,21pts to Koch/Nüchtern.

Urban/Steffan's chances are down to 2%, so if that might change after RD nationals, I will start calculating for them.

Gurdzhi (161,42pts) is winning junior nationals.
Awesome skate where he literally 3x 🤦🏼‍♂️ after pop-ing a jump
Sapozhnikov came in 2nd (153,55pts), Weissert (150,65pts) in 3rd.

Starostin coming in as leader in the #juniorsrace totally :gallopin1-ed with lots of pops, double splats and even a spin splat 🆘 He ended up 7th. He is by far the best in his overall skating, good basics, great musicality. Shoutout to his coach and Adam Solya in knc who were doing a terrific job in cheering him up👍🏼

Overall, there are some decent junior guys, good to see.

#juniorrace update coming tomorrow :watch:

Dönsdorf sitting 1st row for the junior guys :shuffle: But that’s another story 🆘

I will have to agree with you. I've been always a fan of K/N and i was always cheering for them but they seem so dead every single time. I also do think that M/D have improved... they just don't have the correct material this season.
Nationals will be interesting but none of them show really good international standards. The one couple skates clean but is slow and completely without energy and the other is trying different things but is keep making mistakes. A bit disappointed that none of them took the chance to really step up their game since L/P aren't anymore.

Marold is winning junior nationals (131,99) out of 16th place in the short program
Eudine (130,85) came in 2nd , Salatzki (127,28) 3rd.
Isaev, leading after SP, stomped out as 4th of knc in a way @alchemy void would have approved :D

Sczypa was here with skaters, so seems he did not retire and Weinzierl just thought it is time to move on (I fear too late).

Should be interesting to see if Isaev can come back strong at Senior Nationals. First real compentition after a year long break was bound to be a challenge.

Agree, but to be honest; it's nice we might have another girl with 3flip again, but her overall skating lacks so much. I can't see any big improvement here :shuffle:

@Jeschke If it would be a private company, I'd agree but this is the Bundeswehr (the German army) she is talking about. IMO, it is an important topic to talk about. It's likely there are other people in similar situation, excluded based on their illnesses.
