Big interview with Evgenia Medvedeva
http://www.gazeta.ru/sport/2016/05/12/a_8231183.shtml

I adore this young Russian girls and their ability to give great and honor interviews :)
Thanks for the link! Even via google translate, she's fantastic and very mature. And funny -- here's a snippet.
- And then there was a fragment of four consecutive triple jumps. What is the purpose?

- None. I know some people are going through tough offseason, especially fans of figure skating. So why not to please people.

FS Gossips translation of interview with Kavaguti/Smirnov: http://fs-gossips.com/kavaguti-smirnov-returned-to-trainings/.

It sounds like Yuko really wants to continue!! I'm excited to see them again, but I hope they take it really slow coming back. I don't want Yuko to reinjure herself.

Smirnov says the priority is her recovery, not new programs. I'm not expecting new programs, considering what's happened. However, I also don't want to see a third year of the Manfred LP. I love that LP, but 3 years of it would be too much. I hope they will keep their current SP and go back to either their February or Clair de Lune LPs (if they don't have time to choreograph a new one).

I would love to see Claire de Lune again.

Yeah. well played Evgenia. PML

Or he will be a ghost... So statue program on ghost music.
Zombies. Bring them on.
But seriously, Dmitriev says:
— Открою секрет. Мы готовимся с Сергеем Комоловым ставить для произвольной программы Кристины Астаховой и Алексея Рогонова продолжение «Куклы». И пусть вас не смущает заключительный аккорд прошлогодней композиции. Герои снова с нами. Что случилось с «Куклой» дальше, вы узнаете, когда посмотрите новую произвольную программу.

"I'll tell you a secret. For the Long, we are preparing to choreograph a continuation of "The Doll" with Sergey Komolov (their choreographer-dinakt). Do not be alarmed by the final chords of last year's program. The characters are with us again. What happens to the "Doll" you'll learn from the new program."

A/R's new SP sounds interesting, but I'll reserve judgment on the LP. i could understand them keeping last year's program, it was almost that good. But just keep the program if that's what you're going to do. Why choreo a new version? If you're going to spend the time/money to choreo a new program, it seems like you'd at least want to try a fresh concept/music. But, Komolov has done great work for them, so I should probably just trust him ... ;)

Its no secret I love Astakova/ Rogonov.

Cant wait to see their new programs. In fact it is what Im looking forward to the most of all the new programs from pairs

Me too. I've loved everything they've done so far & I'm sure Komolov knows exactly what he's doing. He said in one interview last season that he had enough program ideas to carry them through the next quad.

But I'm curious about S/K's programs too. I wonder if they are done already since it seems like they just came back to Russia.

Russian junior pair Mishina/Mirzoev (coached by Velikovs) now are training 3-3-2 combo (will definetely add it next season & they have already tried it on some local competition this season )and are training 4Th but only on the floor now.
They want to do both juniors and seniors next season that's why they probably will keep their FP

Good luck to the guys, I really liked them and Atakhanova/Spiridonov this season :)

Thats good to hear - they have a lot of potential. Too bad about the LP (not a fan of the program) but I get why!

ETA: about Mishina and Mirzoev, no idea why the quote didn't work
