Who Do You Think Will Opt Out of Worlds?

I note a few doing the Juniors/Seniors double: Pavlov, Carrillo, Rizzo, Amy Lin for starters. If I were Donovan or Amy, I'd probably stay the entire month in Europe

Ivan with Elena? , But we don´t know if Ivan will be allowed to participate in Beijing, he is the strongest part of the team but right now, Alexandra is in a better position than him to get another partner. His situation is uncertain. He should be grateful that Alexandra continues with him.

Ross must really be done, then. Unless all three guys dropped out and all three alternates are going.

This is interesting. I’m hoping it’s that Jason isn’t prepared because of an up in the air coaching situation. Concerned if it’s Nathan. Although he came home very sick. Nathan might just be emotionally spent. So many possible theories here.

Happy for Max too, but I am afraid it could be Jason withdrawing. :wuzrobbed I have no sources, but Jason usually posts “How happy I am to represent the USA” posts on Social Media, and nothing like that from him. Silly point, perhaps, but out of character....

Happy for Max but concerned if it is Jason who is out. My first thought was Nathan but
who knows. We will find out soon.

Max replaces Adam, after Jason and Ross passed on going to worlds. Kaitlin and Jean-Luc replace the Shibutanis.

Interesting. I am not sure that Aaron/Zhou/Chen will get us 3 spots for 2019. Chen will score well, the other two?? Just depends. (I honestly don't expect much from Aaron. I doubt he's been training hard as 3rd alternate)

I will miss the Shibs, but I like Kaitlin and Jean-Luc's program so it's nice it gets another outing and they get this exposure.

Excerpt:
Third alternate Max Aaron will replace Rippon in the men’s event. Both Jason Brown and Ross Miner, the first and second alternates, respectively, declined invitations to the event. Aaron won the bronze medal at Cup of China in the fall, and recently placed fifth at the Four Continents Championships. This will mark Aaron’s fourth appearance at the World Championships.

First alternates Kaitlin Hawayek and Jean-Luc Baker will replace the Shibutanis in the ice dance event. The duo won the Four Continents Championships in February and placed fourth at the 2018 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships.
