My Phillies have the best record in baseball right now!! I don't know that they are the best team (I think the Orioles and Dodgers are right up there), but it's a thrill to see their record right now, especially being three games over the Braves! Last year they started so slow, this is amazing!

Alternate universe, Nats shut out the O's, record as of today is above .500, Kyle Finnegan is league leader in Saves. Who are these people!

Phillies continue to have the best record in baseball, and are 6 games up on the Braves in the division! All hail Ranger Suarez and his magical pitching! We may have more than 2 all-stars this year! (and actual starters)

Sorry about that @BlueRidge ! Having been a Phillie fan since '89 or so, I'm enjoying the ride right now, cuz it's a long season and who knows what may happen.

This has been happening for a number of seasons. The Nationals are doing okay and wham they run into the Phillies!

I'm glad you are enjoying, the Phillies are very impressive!

I'm enjoying the Orioles season, but didn't enjoy watching them get swept by the Cardinals. :(

And after the holiday weekend, we have our division opponents.

Reds couldn't buy a win (or get the pitchers on the opposing teams stop hitting them on their hands/wrists :angryfire) for a while there but we just took two games from the Dodgers this weekend and finally looked like a respectable team again. My guys have hit some REALLY rough spots lately (I lost count of how many one run games they've lost this year :() but I'm hoping this weekend starts a nice turnaround for them again. :)

SWEEP!!!! How the heck do the Reds play like garbage for most of May and then sweep the Dodgers?! Baseball is a funny game, LOL

And YET AGAIN, two of my players got hit on their hands/wrists by the opposing team's pitching staff....ENOUGH ALREADY. :yikes:

My Phillies are now down by 3 starters, and continue to somehow find ways to win. Still the best winning percentage in baseball! Let's see how long they can go like this!

The Yankees are the first team to 50 wins and have the best record in baseball! And all this without Gerrit Cole. Soto has been a huge addition to this team. They need to give him whatever he wants to stay.

See your guys on Tuesday!

Yay, Orioles, winning 2 of 3 against the Phillies! And if that wasn't enough of a test, it's time for the Yankees...

Orioles are a great team for sure! Glad my Phillies are on a homestand starting tomorrow and get Turner back. We are sure missing our starting catcher who is out for four to six weeks. Our backups are a bit light offensively!

Well my Phillies are now without Harper and Schwarber for at least 10 days, and still managed to win today. It was against the Marlins, but at least they managed to manufacture a few runs. I'm nervous about the next two weeks, while the big guns are out (and JT realmuto still out as well)

So who at MLB had the brilliant idea not to air a game between longtime division rivals, tied at the top of the standings, on TV, only streaming? A game that saw 2 lead changes in the 9th inning and ended with a walk-off double.

If I didn't know better, I'd think MLB was run by the same people who run USFS. :shuffle:

Yay, Orioles, for salvaging the series! When I saw the Yankees had scored 3 runs in the top of the 9th, I figured that was it. Glad the O's remembered how to score runs before the game ended.

And how many streaming services do they expect fans to have?

I can’t believe they blew it!

whoa, I just saw that the White Sox have lost 20 in a row. :yikes: Their record is 27 and 87, .237 winning percentage. I'm mortified. Sorry for any White Sox fans, that's really shocking.

The ChiSox are so bad, I feel bad for them. How demoralizing it must be for them to be playing almost every day. Even Oakland isn't that bad this year.

The Orioles had some seasons like that, not too long ago. I'm hopeful the new ownership will prevent the team from getting that bad ever again.

Hopefully the Chi Sox can turn things around next season.

Of course, I shouldn't be talking about the ChiSox since my Phillies have been in total free-fall since the All star break. Le sigh.

Braves players missing significant time this season:

Spencer Strider - one of the best pitchers in the league last year, went down a week into the season and underwent TJ surgery.
Ronald Acuna Jr. - 2023 MVP, suffered an ACL tear in May, out for the season.
Michael Harris II - 2022 RoY, missed two months with a hamstring injury.
Ozzie Albies - broken toe in April, missed a couple of weeks; wrist fracture in July, out until September.
Sean Murphy - suffered an oblique strain on Opening Day, was out for two months.
Max Fried missed time with forearm issues and has been iffy since his return.

And now, Austin Riley has a hand fracture after a HBP over the weekend, out 6-8 weeks.

This is just depressing.
