I don't know where all to put this for maximum coverage, but when I was watching The Middle last night, I saw a commercial for "Truth and Lies: The Tonya Harding Story" on ABC Thursday (tomorrow, 1/11). It's current, because the description mentions asking her what she thinks about "I, Tonya". DVR is set.

Thanks for posting this, susan1. I have the DVR and popcorn ready. Christine Brennan is one of many participating personalities, as she mentioned to Dave Lease in her recent interview with TSL.

Sure. I wouldn't have even noticed it if I didn't see the commercial during The Middle. I don't think I watch anything else on ABC except for Grey's and Dancing with the Stars, which aren't on right now.

I think Tonya has been on some morning talk shows (another commercial passing by during the local news - man, she looks OLD), but I wasn't going to sit through 2 hours of other stuff, not remembering which network it was.

It was a good show. Not to take the blame away from Tonya and Team Gillooley, but I found myself feeling intense sadness for Tonya because of the large degree of domestic violence in her life. Back in 1994, we knew about the hairbrush incident but not everything else. The sad parts trump all of the silly bits about the goofy gang.

Some of the most fascinating new footage is the interview with Tonya’s mom...still the same despite the all-white hair. And Tonya’s voice and manner of talking are now exactly like her mom spoke back in ‘94...sassy and snippy.

My secret wish: to hear Tonya commentating on today’s skaters at the Olympics! It would be quite the alternative commentating. Somebody please find her a channel!
