Yay!! I’m happy.

Loved it.

It made perfect sense to me that Sophie had to choose Kevin for this relationship to go forward.

I still think that the writers do such a good job with Kevin. Half the time I am in love with him and half the time I want to punch him. That’s good writing.

Randall and Beth are still my favourites though. Love Randall’s advice.

I loved this episode, and loved the scenes of Kevin and Sophie together over the years, starting at age 5. And so sweet the way he pulled out that valentine, though I was surprised he’d saved it given all the other things that happened over the years.

I have not paid so much attention to all the details, I guess, but when did Kevin start a foundation?

Anyway, loved the way Rebecca gave Sophie the insight she needed, without even knowing what she was doing.

I may go back and watch the whole series from the beginning if it’s all available on one of my streaming services. It would be interesting to watch and see how they worked everything out over all the different time periods.

Yeah, so as much as last week's ep was kind of meh for me, this week's ep had me bawling so much at the end that I don't know how I'm going to make it through these last three episodes as we get closer and close to Bec's final scenes. The ep tonight was SO heartbreaking but also filled in all of those missing parts of Miguel's story and now I can't believe now that I ever hated the guy. Such a wonderfully done episode and if you're not crying at the end, you may not be human. SO GOOD.

I was fully expecting Miguel to die since he wasn’t at Rebecca’s deathbed in the flash forwards, but it was still heartbreaking to watch.

The conversation the Big 3 had with Miguel about getting care for them reminded me so much of a conversation I tried to have with my mom multiple times before my dad passed away. That plus the whole final 15 minutes broke me. ??

I couldn't even see thru my tears to type anything else last night other than the above. ? As soon as they started playing that music I knew it was coming. Do they give Emmy's for music on TV shows, cause whoever does the music on This Is Us deserves one.

Thinking about the timeline, I think that maybe Miguel actually only died just very shortly before Rebecca. Someone check my timeline to see if I remember right.

We know Rebecca is dying in 2032.

We know Kate got married when they were 45, making it 2025 at her wedding day when Miguel and Randall had their talk over the wine tasting.

After that point, there was a progression in time of Miguel getting older/needing help himself as we saw him age more, so I'm ballparking that at around 5-7 years time, making it around 2030-31 when he dies, or maybe he even died the same year as Rebecca at 2032. Because why wasn't Rebecca there when Kate/Randall/Miguel's daughter scattered the ashes at the tree ... maybe she had already died too?

I'm thinking that maybe Rebecca dies very soon after Miguel because she cannot be without him. ?

I loved this episode so much. Great acting, great story telling, and wow, what great makeup artists they have. But I did not remember previous scenes with Miguel’s son from his first marriage, maybe I missed that episode. So great his son did take Kevin’s advice to heart, though I’m sorry we didn’t see any of that conversation. Such a devoted husband he was, maybe looking for redemption for some of his earlier years and failings. Sniff.

I’ll admit that I didn’t expect Miguel to pass. I remember distantly the flashback of who was gathering with Rebecca at the end. SoI really was caught off guard. ?.

No, there were two scenes at the tree. First when Rebecca was sitting in the chair with Kevin, Randall, Kate, and Miguel's son and daughter. I'm assuming that is from the day of his funeral. Then later there was another scene with Kate, Randall, Miguel's daughter when they scattered the ashes at the tree. And Kevin and Miguel's son scattered at the ball field. Rebecca wasn't at either of those.

This series has been the best series I've watched since St Elsewhere.

No it was Miguel’s. His daughter was there with Kate and Randall, and Kevin and Miguel’s son took a portion of his ashes to Puerto Rico to spread there.

Thanks to this show, the next time some skater or team skates to "To Build a Home" in a competition or show, I'm gonna be sitting there bawling and thinking back to this show and how much it emotionally broke me for six years.

Tonight's ep was really good overall (definitely had some humor in it...I was ROLLING with laughter over Sophie and Beth's impressions of their guys, LMAO ) but it was also heartbreaking since we're so close to the end for Bec now. I loved all the juxtapositions of Bec taking care of the Big Three as kids in their various ages with the adult Big Three now taking care of her as that horrible disease robs her of her vitality and energy. That last scene where they made their final decision about her care felt like I was watching the Big Three finally grow up right before my eyes which was SO beautiful. I also love how this ep included almost the entire cast which was really good to see as we get closer to the end of the series. We even got a KaToby moment and how nice was it to see him and Kate getting along so well? This was such a well written episode even though it was super sad overall.

And I guess I'm gonna be crying for all the remaining episodes since I bawled like a crazy woman again tonight. THIS SHOW....

The Outsider Big 3 are so different now. Sophie is the new Miguel, and Philip is the new Toby. I forget that Beth and Sophie knew each other back then. And Sophie probably knows the sibling dynamic intimately, probably hanging out at the Pearson home everyday after school. She is the only one who knew Jack.

Beth and Sophie imitating Randall and Kevin is comedy gold, they should become figure skating commentators.
