You would think so, but then there’s Ruslan Goncharov.
I was coming to say the exact same thing while I read that post.

I guess if you're trying to figure out what agenda Andreeva might hypothetically be trying to push, Chock/Bates are the team on the rise right now so it'd make sense to try to knock them back a step; though it seems like a lot of Russian commentary's ire is still directed at Hubbell/Donohue for some reason, even though they've been on the back foot all season already. So again, we have at least one tough caller (Elek) and one 2018 Olympic panel member (Yang) and one representative from an ice dance powerhouse of the opposition (Andreeva). Though at Euros two of those roles were the same person.
I would say all three Canadian teams also looked markedly stronger, though they all had visible or semi-visible errors at nationals, so that's a lower bar. But I really have to credit L/L for how much improvement they've made since the start of the season; if they keep moving at this clip, they'll be in a very good place (which is good for Canada, since they've basically got two years to get ready to be our flagship team).Still, the two teams were looking stronger than at US Nats two weeks ago, and C/B seem to have left the days of level 1 Finnsteps behind them, so a world medal certainly isn't out of the cards.
i wouldn't be surprise if russia and canada have a deal going to have both of their teams on the world podium and block gadbois...
I don’t think they’ll score badly, but maybe lower. Although teams tend to score really high at worlds..S/K scored very well in the RD during entire season, not just at Euros.
Their only bad competition was GPF, when Nikita had a mistake on the steps.
Not that there aren't plenty of things to criticize about ice dance judging, but there's no particular reason to think the Finnstep calling here was wrong or that it would have been called deliberately wrong to hurt them. They got the only Level 4 step sequence in the whole event, for instance.Ice dance Judging is such a joke i could have predicted from a mile away that no matter how Gilles and Poirier skated they would not get level 4 on finnstep thus insuring the american teams would be ahead of them, anyway it looks like Canada will have to swallow their pride for the next 2 years until the top american teams and french retire and Lajoie and lagha become gadbois number one team.
You know, you could go through and examine Piper's keypoints yourself, and explain how each one was clean. Then you would have an argument. Then your musings might actually make sense. Of course, that would require knowledge and dedicated understanding, neither of which you've ever demonstrated to have.Ice dance Judging is such a joke i could have predicted from a mile away that no matter how Gilles and Poirier skated they would not get level 4 on finnstep thus insuring the american teams would be ahead of them, anyway it looks like Canada will have to swallow their pride for the next 2 years until the top american teams and french retire and Lajoie and lagha become gadbois number one team.

lol nobody in the general public knows this that is why ice dance is so easy to manipulate people only see twizzles , lifts when there is a mistake nobody watching on tv can tell you the key points. You know, you could go through and examine Piper's keypoints yourself, and explain how each one was clean. Nobody in the general public knows anything about step sequence levels either.lol nobody in the general public knows this that is why ice dance is so easy to manipulate people only see twizzles , lifts when there is a mistake nobody watching on tv can tell you the key points.

No i like Step and bukin.Do you only root for Canadian teams?
No i like Step and bukin.
I wouldn`t say they did better all three teams performed well its a very subjective sport. And biased against LITERALLY everyone else. H/D and C/B did better today. That’s that.
Which translates to:I wouldn`t say they did better all three teams performed well its a very subjective sport.
look its clear there is a lot of politics in that sport i am sure Patrice has better connections among judging panels than say Carol Lane at the end of the day that counts nothing that happens on the ice has anything to do with merit.Which translates to:
"I'm not knowledgeable enough to actually assess the respective performances of each team, so I'm just going to let my Nationalism do the talking for me. It's a very subjective sport."
Let me guess - they should be beating P/C?No i like Step and bukin.
