But barely IMO. Anyway, there are already at least 8 FDs that don't suck so far.

For me now that I think about it, Vancouver wasn't "my style". Except for Malher and POTO, the rest felt a bit outdated.Sochi sucked. Vancouver too.
For those who haven't seen it yet : Cappellini / Lanotte in Minsk:
SD: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2AvCcN9fOIA
FD: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuHLTyo2yLs
The SD didn't convince me much...
The FD is typically them, even if less bubbly than the last 2 years. Is it me or Anna spends a lot of time being rotated around Luca?? The music is beautiful however. I think it could be a lovely moment with more mileage.
I loved the little princeIn Sochi my favorites were María de Buenos Aires, Picasso and The little prince.
Too bad, your interrogations were very accurateWrong thread.
The draw rules for the SD have changed since Sochi so that unranked teams (if there are any) draw for the first slots among themselves; then the remainder of the bottom half in rankings draw randomly for the remaining top half of start orders; then the top half of ranked skaters draw seeded in groups - the top five ranked draw for the last group, 6-10 for the second to last group, etc. The number of seeds depends on the number of teams.I thought the top 10 ranked teams in the world draw the last 10 spots (i.e. last 2 groups) in the SD. So P/C and V/M could be in either the last or next to last group, as could B/S (currently #1), C/B, Shibs, etc.
I think this is going to be one of my favourite free dances this season. Looking forward to seeing it live next month at Skate America. The FD is beautiful and I love this lift https://youtu.be/UuHLTyo2yLs?t=57
Thanks for the information! Now I can only say that love does make you blind...The Fed tried to have them stay together, you can thank Katsalapov and Sinitsina for the two trainwrecks those teams became...
They are the ones initiated the break. Sucks.
Agreed with almost everything, except that I would have added the overscoring of the Canadian in the SD, and I don't like the German's SD at all. Also I think H/D should've been second at the end of this.Dancers saved the entire Skate Canada, so many great performances yesterday
Top-3 were sublime, V/M's FD is growing on me, Tessa looks absolutely stunning
Enjoyed WeaPo yesterday but the inflation in score is insane:
2012 Worlds - 100.18
2017 SKI - 112.54
Madie and Zack are just
Speaking of others:
- Jean-Luk is an amazing dancer, latin is absolutely his dance, who would have thought?
- Kavita and Joti have very lovely programs this year (thanks, Marina), what a step up after Igor's choreography. Kavita's dress in the short is to die for
- I don't get Smart/Diaz's high scores.. I think they are in the same league with the poles and the germans
- Loboda/Drozd had a nice debut on GP series, but I don't think they have any future together, especially if she won't get in shape![]()
Me tooAlso I think H/D should've been second at the end of this.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uh5p1e9nmtIHaven't seen V/M's FD yet, can't find a proper link![]()
LOVE this program!I would love that...this is one of my fav programs of Vanessa & Paul when they were 17 and 18. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAoaheeAWPo
The lifts have been a sore spot since D/W. Yes Tessa always throws herself into position in lifts and Scott catches her and steadies her as opposed to D/W ..Charlie lifted her and threw her around like a rag doll..This never showed in their marks.
And so was W/P's Maria Buenosaires tango FD. I actually did not mind D/W's Scheherezade either. V/M's FD was a bit disappointing for me as a fan, even though I really liked their performance of it at the Olympics individual event. C/L had a nice FD in their style that was not bad, but certainly was not one of their best. B/S's FD was good and stylistically fresh for them the season before, but didn't look that good at the Olympics among other teams FDs almost all of which had that festive Olympic mood each in their own way. Shibutanis FD looked promising and different for them at the beginning of the season (at least to me, as, unlike some other figure skating fans, I don't hate Michael Jackson programs), but, instead of improving in terms of choreo and expression, went very much downhill from there.I/K`s Swan Lake and P/B`s Little Prince were great, though
I said it already in the Shibs thread, but we might get to see the best Ice Dance programs ever in Korea, because there is so much variety, and it's very accurate to the era we live in. It feels like everyone will display its own style. It didn't feel like that in 2014. Maybe related to a Russia being a big skating country (you may want to adapt musically speaking) ?
Now it's neutral ground.
Lol it has almost been four years since Meryl and Charlie competed. Let's move on.
Why? it's such a shame that people forget so quickly about the past champions.
I just saw the French fd moonlight sonata on youtube , aside from this style is there anything else they know how to do, V&M should win Olympic gold in a walk.
Oh no. You're back. Yeah. I was hoping you were just a really miserable figment of my imagination last season.I just saw the French fd moonlight sonata on youtube , aside from this style is there anything else they know how to do, V&M should win Olympic gold in a walk.
what I am not allowed to give an opinion.Sigh, I guess it's that time of the year where ignore lists grow.
