Where is he commentating?Ben Agosto is simply outstanding as a commentator. He needs to be the US commentator at every event this season. That is all.

Where is he commentating?
But H/D are for the first time. Shibs are boring. We will see about C/B.All three teams have a good chance to win U.S. Champs this year, if Chock/Bates come out with solid routines.
As you've mentioned before about whatever message the judges were sending to the Shibutanis at Worlds, I think related to that was H/D's third place placement in the SD. That really threw everything into a blender. S/S were comfortable ahead of H/D as late as the 4CC, which had other placement ramifications that were just understood as the way it was-- for example, W/P maintained a lead over H/D in the PCS even if W/P were flubbing something on the technical side. The second place Canadian team was the judge's preference-- again using PCS-- over what was then the third place American team. All three teams have a good chance to win U.S. Champs this year, if Chock/Bates come out with solid routines.

Absolutely, I am not saying it will be easy. You may find the Shibs boring, but a few pages in the PBP thread contained multiple posts saying H/D's FD was boring. It's all subjective. The fact is the Shibs are formidable opponents and shouldn't be underestimated.
On the Olympic channel. There are vids on YouTube if you don't subscribe to cable.
Maybe Gilles/Poirier should consider a coaching change? It looks to me that Lane got both Crone/Poirier and now Gilles/Poirier to a certain level, but they don`t manage to make that extra step to really become competitive with the top teams.

Oh yeah. They're just on fire this year. And to think that one of their best team isn't going to Korea is just unbelievable. After seeing the work of their top three teams, especially the FD's, I think it's fair to say that the Montreal team has absolutely nailed it this season. They're as different from each other as can be, so those complaints about one style are out of the window. And I'd include the rest of their teams in there as well in terms of diversity of programs-- I've stated multiple times how much I enjoy F-B/S's Spanish FD.
This is something I have had on my chest since yesterday, so I'll let the steam go out.
Dear Victoria Sinitsina,
Please drop your partner before he drops you even more harshly/dangerously than he did yesterday.
Katsalapov might be a great champion one day in solo ice dance.
In couple ice dance, he's just a disgrace.
So please, put your safety first and find yourself another partner, or turn to another part of skating or another interest.
I will be very happy to follow you in your future adventures, especially if you're still in one piece.
Love.

Sinitsina / Katsalapov SD in Minsk yesterday.
I’m a relatively new ice dance fan so I haven’t seen W/P’s original JSM. When I heard they were reusing the music I decided not to watch the old program and build my impression based solely on the new program. After watching it, I can tell that there’s a world of difference between this program and Spartacus. W/P are wholly invested in JSM emotionally and skate like every movement is coming from their soul. Just based on that, I don’t care if it’s sort of a repeat. The program and their connection to it is just so much better. I think they made the right decision.
Are you going to watch their 2012 Nice Worlds FD now, after Skate Canada? You really should, because the synergy of a French audience responding to the lyrics and the “leave it all out on the floor” passion of Kaitlyn just built and built to this emotional climax. It’s one of the most touching, authentic moments in the past quad.
Dance fans... please help me !
These are the world rankings : http://www.isuresults.com/ws/ws/wsdance.htm
P/C are 7th, V/M are 8th. V/M had 2 seasons off, P/C didn't compete half of 2015-2016 + no challenger last year.
Is it going to change/change a lot/stay that way ?
And if the latter : Are they both not going to skate in the last group at the Olympics ? Or does it go another way ?
What did you think about FDs of Sochi and Vancouver ?I can't remember when we've had that many good FD for an olympic year.
I/K`s Swan Lake and P/B`s Little Prince were great, thoughSochi sucked. Vancouver too.
