I've been wanting an ice dance team to tackle on the Beasts of the Southern Wild soundtrack especially the track "Once there was a Hushpuppy".

I'd like for someone to skate to a Copland medley: Rodeo (Ranch House Party,Saturday Night Waltz), Sonata for Piano and Violin (First Movement); Hershy Kay's Western Symphony. I specifically would like to see the latter for Anna and Martin. I'd love to see a La Bayadere program that wasn't just from the Kingdom of the Shades...for a Pair, Dance Team or Male.

Also, a guilty pleasure: "Sky Full of Stars" (Coldplay) or "Stuck in a Moment" or "City of Blinding Lights" (U2) as a SP.

- Anything by Django Reinhardt
- Anything by Emerson Lake & Palmer
- Alborado del Gracioso (orchestral version) by Ravel
- Romanian Rhapsody by Enescu
- Cuban Overture by Gershwin

Cuban Overture is almost exactly the length of an SP -- just needs a few more seconds of something added in.

I recently played a job that included Shostakovich Cello Concerto. Lots of skateable music there. In fact I missed an entrance during rehearsal thinking about which skaters should use this for their next program. Other than Adam I don’t recall anyone using Barber’s Violin Concerto, and that is a shame! I get tired of all the Broadway music used so much and so many gfb’s.

I'd love to see enchanting Birch White by Agalloch in Ice Dance (Free Dance). I would not mind the second part with solo mandolin being used as a chilling outro on its own too. Maybe Papadakis / Cizeron could use it. In 2016/2017 season in their Free Dance they incorporated one song called ''Stillness'' by Nest that is stylistically close. I'd not even dare to say that music of Nest is modelled after Agalloch, but with Agalloch being more neo-folksy and metal oriented but I get the same vibes.

I think I am a minority, but I miss "Gone With the Wind" programs. I could listen to the soundtrack all day long.
Sinfonietta by Leos Janacek with the right cut could work very well for a pair program.
Danse Macarbe could be good fit for Hawayek and Baker after many seasons of soft love stories, the music is just begging for superb edge work.
After watching VM on Ellen they could do Walk the Line program, Scott could be fun as Johnny Cash (or totally hideous :p).

Olivia Gran (Canadian Junior Ladies Champion) short program was to Warsaw Concerto. The link below is from Nov 2016 but she kept the program a second year.

Schubert's "Unfinished" Symphony would be nice.

Also I finally want to see an entire program to "Sacre du Printemps" (The Rite of Spring).

And I've been saying for years that Amedeo Minghi's soundtrack for the "Fantaghirò" series is absolutely beautiful.

It could go badly wrong for a skater whose technique and/or performance quality can't stand up to the music, but I've been listening to Entry of the Gods into Valhalla from Das Rheingold a lot recently, and it's really inspiring. I could see it working well for Savchenko/Massot if they stick around because they skate so big and are so charismatic.

Elizabet Tursynbaeva took my advice (lol) the last time we had a similar thread and skated to Princess Mononoke in 2016-17. I'm still waiting for someone to follow my suggestion for Tchaikovsky's Variations on a Rococo Theme.

Also these two excerpts from ABT's Whipped Cream (choreography by Alexei Ratmansky) makes me think the

Gregorz Filipowski (sp?) skated a wonderful LP to Warsaw concerto in the 1989 worlds. He won the bronze.
This dates me :) but Kovarikova and Novotny had a less-jarring-music-cuts-than-I-remembered SP to it during the 1993/1994 season

That said, if popular classics are going to be reused, there's plenty of it besides Carmen, Swan Lake, etc. :D

There’s never enough rock. And l don’t count the Beatles or Coldplay or Grease as rock. :blah:
I want the Scorpions, Jethro Tull, Led Zep, Breaking Benjamin, Tool. If I can dance to that stuff, then talented athletic skaters who have actual dance skills surely can adapt a heavier genre to the ice. Look how much we loved Toth’s AC/DC program. More please!

I could see Daleman with an Alanis Morrisette short program - picture it!
 I don't know about that...

I'm skeptical that a nice girl like Gabby could pull off this one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPcyTyilmYY  Or that she would necessarily want to.
