Skating Club of Boston just announced this. This must be a show that will be held after the Champs Camp and the US top skaters participating in the Champs Camp are likely to skate their new programs.

Venue: The Skating Club of Boston, Norwood, Massachusetts, USA.

U.S. Figure Skating, the national governing body for the sport of figure skating in the United States, and The Skating Club of Boston, New England’s premier figure skating club and training center, will be hosting a unique, summer skating show featuring the top skaters in the U.S. These Team USA athletes will be previewing a mix of their new programs for the 2024-25 season.

I am kind of ... I already have a non-negotiable plan at this time of this year (you know, summer is a travel season). I have friends in Boston and I could have gone if I were free.

If this will continue to happen in the future, I need to think about how to schedule my summer travel plans.

Hey guys, any news from Champs Camp？Or is there a different thread for it?

Gonna reply here in this thread because there really hasn't been much out there on social media from Champs Camp that I've seen. Others can chime in but here's what I've seen:

1) Ilia threw out the opening pitch at the Boston Red Sox MLB game Monday night promoting Worlds 2025.

2) Chock & Bates were in Paris for over a week and appear to have left today and skipped most of Champs Camp - though they are slated to appear at the Summer Sizzler show tomorrow night.

3) Kaitlin Hawayek is doing a seminar on music theory this week. Jean-Luc Baker, Ashley Cain and Amber Corwin Farrow have been seen on ice/tagged on IG posts/participating as support staff from Champs Camp.

4) It was reported in the CarPon thread that they'll be skating one of their programs at the Summer Sizzler show.

5) I think Jason Brown is there but haven't verified - he posted a "my workout/recovery regime" IG video clip earlier this week and the room had a very hotel-esque vibe to it, but I could be wrong, lol.

6) Skaters who have posted or been seen/tagged in/headed to Champs Camp posts - Camden, Torgy, Lucas, Isabeau, Starr, Bradie, McBeath/Parkman, Martins/Bedard, Plazas/Fernandez, Kam/O'Shea, the Browns, Carreira/Ponomarenko, Pate/Bye, Bratti/Somerville, Green/Parsons, Zingas/Kolesnik, Flores/Desyatov, Haydenettes, and Skyliners Sr.

7) I'm operating on the assumption that all of the Men & Women who are on the GP Alternates List and competed at Cranberry are also in attendance, even if I can't recall sighting them on IG/social media this week at SCoB. Same goes for the skaters/teams with GP assignments who are SCoB members - Naumov, Efimova/Mitrofanov, Chan/Howe.

8) Unverified/unconfirmed reports on Xwitter state that Morozov/Chen is also at Champs Camp and Dave Lease reported on TSL today that Lindsay Thorngren is also there (her Cranberry WD was related to being a bit under-prepared due to having a bout with the flu earlier this summer).

9) There are some junior skaters who are also taking part in Champs Camp.

Of all the ice dance teams you have to select from... You go with a brand new team that have had exactly one competition where they finished 9th (and 13+ points behind) four other US teams including the current Jr World Champions who are making their senior debut this season.

That's a choice, USFS. I mean, we know you love K-Chen and Li'l Bro, not to mention Papa Morozov knows how to politic with the best but damn...

My guess is Cpom may do their RD and Morozov&Chen will do their Star Wars. Star Wars is always good for a show.

As noted, all the teams that competed at Lake Placid have the bones of their RDs and FDs ready to go, same with all the skaters who competed at Cranberry this past weekend having their SPs & FSs in some sort of competition shape. Ilia and Chan/Howe were skating show versions of their new SPs a couple weeks ago while they were in Japan for The Ice.

Morozov/Chen just seems like such an odd choice given the depth we have with our ice dance teams - and it also seems weird that only 3 dance teams were included but there are 5 pairs teams (I get that 3 of them are SCoB teams, but the junior team isn't even on the ISP yet).

I'm really hoping we get good fancam vids of Alysa and CarPon (or, well, really all of them, lol).

Yes, I'm sure they will be easy enough to find.

I feel like I'm being greedy if I hope for vids of all the Pairs teams skating, lol. God only knows when we'll see decent videos of any of the pairs teams before Nebelhorn - SCoNY never gave us a stream for John Nicks IPC in the past and Lombardia's stream has been sketchy some years. If we're lucky, we'll get bootleg videos from John Nicks IPC again like the ones that surfaced the week or two after it was over last year.
