Watanabe only .10 over Gubanova in PCS, which is a travesty. Her skating skills and compassion were the class of the field. Rinka should have won PCS easily, but sigh.

Does Rinka have a shot of making the Olympic team?

Definitely. I think a lot of Olympic committees tend to choose what they know--if it's close between her, Matsuike, or Nakai, I'd go with Rinka and she's my least favorite of the three (although least favorite is like deciding which delicious kinds of chocolate I want to eat--I like ALL the Japanese ladies).

Love that Alysa gave that result the side eye it richly deserved.

I would find this an acceptable option. I'm with @peibeck in only wanting one of the two Japanese women (Chiba & Nakai) with twee programs at the Olympics.
