Hi, new here (kind of I've been a member but haven't posted in years). Anyways, I was wondering if anyone has any inside scoop on Sasha Cohen's marriage. If anyone has noticed or follows her on social media it appears they are no longer together.

Admins if this is not the correct thread for this discussion feel free to move it.

what would make you think that? I don't believe we have many Sasha Stalkers on here any more.

Sasha stalkers?

I've just always been a huge fan of her skating (and her) and I off and on check her instagram and twitter to see whats going on and what she's up to and he hasn't been mentioned or in an pictures with her in a long time. Their anniversary came and went without any comments about it in fact around that time she was posting pics with her sister on some trip. That as well as her recent birthday instgram post and just recently she's posted pics with other guys and the kicker she was in Europe on vaca with Lysacek a few weeks back.

Sasha was the best; just didn't put it all together when it counted! I could watch her "stroke" around the ice all day; doesn't even have to jump! I always thought Oksana Baiul was the consummate ballerina until Cohen came along in one of those exhibitions from Hershey before she went into the Seniors! She was injured and was permitted to only do "Toes" and "Salchows," but her technique was absolutely stunning; her and Naomi Nari Nam! Too bad they didn't have more responsible people managing them! Generations ago, kids weren't even allowed to do adult programs! I still remember little Jenny Kirk in Europe at a GP event! She not only completed an adult program, the choreographer made the 3 Lutz the last jump of her performance! She survived, but it was all downhill after that for her! Sasha was thrown out there too soon along with the aura of Michelle Kwan hovering over her and the rest of the next gen.! I think so many careers would have been changed if MK had left the ranks in a timely fashion! :wall: :COP: :kickass: :cheer2:

Wow it does appear they split. Didn't they marry a year ago or something? She not wearing a ring in any recent pictures.

Married people don't always wear their wedding rings all the time, and once in a while they do go out in public with friends who aren't their husband/wife.

Hard to believe our minds reflexively "go there" with little to no info! Reminds me of how prudish VP Pence who said he could never be in a room with a woman alone! That's ridiculous, but even younger people's imagination wander when they see 2 people together outside of their normal coupling! :duh: :GnP1: :puppet: :respec:

Right. I also don’t see any photos of her that definitively show her left hand, so how can someone know from Instagram alone that she is no longer wearing her ring?

I wasn't even aware she was married! Just looked it up! In my mind, I just couldn't imagine her in that position! She's such a lit'l cupie doll even after all these yrs, it'll always look like a case of child molestation! I hope it all works out for her!

For what it's worth, I see several photos of her left hand and don't see a ring.

But I don't have a ring on my finger, either.

Mea culpa. Missed the lunch photo that clearly shows the left hand. Her birthday post is quite pensive about life’s ups and downs; given that and the lack of ring, I get the why someone would speculate.

She looks like quite the New York Power Business Woman in that shot! That bun looks way tight.

There's also the one of her hugging Girl Scouts and another of her waving where you can see there's no ring.

And some really gorgeous pictures of Scotland. @quartz should check them out.

Power suits make sense, I believe she works for Morgan Stanley now.

I thought she quit finance. She was interning for 60 Minutes and planning a career in journalism last I heard.

But that is surely a Morgan Stanley look.

Cohen penned an essay for Sports Illustrated this past summer (copying over from a thread in GSD):
It’s a Tuesday afternoon, and I work at 60 Minutes in New York City as part of the highly sought-after CBS News Associates Program that gives aspiring journalists a chance to build a career in news. I’ve traded in my Olympic dream for a new dream, of traveling the globe to interview the individuals who shape our society and fill our newspapers. Charlie Rose and Lesley Stahl have now replaced Kristi Yamaguchi and Scott Hamilton as my idols. Sure, it’s lofty and unlikely, but aren’t dreams supposed to be?

Just went to her instagram and she has taken down a picture of her posted, either yesterday or day before, of her sitting in between two guys out at what appeared to be a restaurant. Neither of them was Tom May.

Based on her instagram, she appears to be a carefully curated lifestyle and travel guru. It doesn't seem to be a "personal" page so much. I wouldn't read much into it either way.

(I also no longer wear my wedding ring, and am very happily married. I can't say whether she is or not.)

The first time I saw this thread it seemed a weird speculation but now seeing her last instagram photos I am almost sure it is true. On the other hand it seems she is having a great time, she always has the best taste on travels.

When would it have been "timely" for Michelle to stop competing? Up until 2005 Worlds, she had been on the World podium for 9 years straight and been national champion for 8 years straight. It seems to me she retired at the right time.
