Nebelhorn Trophy 2024 - Ice Dance RD & FD

How can you say it's just you, when I literally said I'm a hater, and also did you see every other post in this thread?
lol I don't actually hate them but they are noticeably weaker skaters than a number of teams that will score under them today and it's just bleh to me like what are we rewarding here? We can have fun and still score good skating appropriately.

Basically. It'd be fun if they were scored properly, but the ISU wants to reward spectacle, so...

I like F&G depending on the program and I think they skated very well today. I just thought they didn't bring the excitement they could to this.

And that they didn't deserve to be scored over CarPom!

What I don't get about their score is that CarPon seemed just as fast and smooth today and were just as entertaining as FearGib - so what's the reason for a 4.5 point spread other than the groupthink style of judging that has infected ice dance in the last few seasons?

So, if the judges stay in their scoring lanes, the Taschlers should score somewhere between 72 and 77, while Zingas/Kolesnik will score between whatever the Taschlers will get and Cpom.

Loved that from Christina and Anton, even if I have some questions about his costume. Definitely one of the best and most coherent dances this season so far. And the best skating.

Great looks & concept from Olivia and Tim, but they are still not skating as a team. She is having fun, he is nervous and tries to drag her around
Also great looks from the younger Spanish team, and it would be nice to see them in a few more years, they are progressing quite nicely

Lilah's dress is really nice, but come on. Her attempt at paso steps makes my eyes bleed. Also quite a genetic program given their usual standard and this year's theme, expected more from them program-wise
9 in SS, you say?

But then when it comes to my German juniors, they're all "Oh, let's shake things up! Let's have everybody pass them!" :drama:
Juniors is not bound by the same groupthink rules as seniors - you know this! Though I will say that I was perplexed by their score today - they were a lot more confident and better than a few weeks ago in Riga. I'd have had them even with PidKov.

WHY IS EVERYONE IN THE WORLD USING "HOT STUFF"? It's a good song, but good grief! Talk about groupthink!

Taschlers - sooooo, she has some very sparkly dark grape purple jacket with a black skirt that is not sparkly; he has a black very sparkly shirt and not sparkly black pants. They're clearly not as fast as CarPon or FearGib, but they do have some really nice, deep edges. Ice dance corridor rules predict this will score about 74 and I sort of question whether or not it's better than SmaDie, but I'm also a SmaDie uber and want to see them rise up the rankings.

I love love love their speed but they still have problems controlling the edges

Was that Hot Stuff really slowed down??? It seemed slow. Anyway they are fun but I don't think this is one of their best programs.

They need to leave Zanni asap, but I have no alternatives
I am not sure we have any coaches left who know how to work with skaters who can actually skate and use their blades AND how to package those skaters at the same time

Alis/Roberts - the after-thought Spanish team here - the question for them is whether they will be last or 2nd to last. But, good for the Spanish fed - they suddenly have like 5 senior teams, I think.
