Elyse seems to have grown since last season and I think she’s one of the rare skaters where it’s helping her jumps. She seems to be getting more power and lift into them, which is giving her more time to rotate.

I was thinking the same thing. I feel like last season her jumps often were under rotated but she jumps much higher and even in slo mo the jumps today looked good overall!
I wish her music had built a bit more but she did handle the pressure very well! I have to wonder if Sarah and Elyse can survive the whole season with this consistency. I always worry about the ones that are having to compete in the summer and trying for host spots. That’s a LONG season. Either way, I’m excited that some of the US women are showing some grit, it’s been a while since we’ve seen that!

Elyce really beat down the field. I didn`t realize she`s such a strong compeititor. Being first ahead of the World silver medalist and the Japanese and Korean crew would make anyone shakey. Not Elyce, today

She at least needs to revisit the dress…I actually thought the calling was pretty generous. Her first flip looked short to my eye as well. I was only half paying attention, the program definitely didn’t keep my attention.

I don't care much about dresses but Isabeau's dress is so unbelievably ugly it even disturbed me. Something nice and classy like from LIvia Kaiser would go so well to Liebestraum!

I liked Isabeaus dress live!
hater her SP though, it looks so dated and conservative and not in a classical way. The LP is very nice!

Elyce definitely has better skating skills, her skating looks very big and flowy and she‘s faster than Isabeau. I think she was clearly the best with great jumps,but Hana was great too.

US Ladies are killing it this early in the season and we still haven't seen Alysa, Lindsay and Bradie yet. Imagine if Ava was also healthy and competing Nationals is going to be brutal choosing 3 ladies for the Worlds team thank goodness the US got the 3rd spot back this year.

Really impressive from Elyce! What a great start to the season for US women! Good on Isabeau for a strong comeback.I think her short is a better vehicle for her but I admire her as a competitor.

Or as Toller Cranston said, "you do not win a competition wearing green."

I'm in "no technik" with costumes, but think this one is awful. Something in the purple/lavender/light blue family would work better.

Wow, just seeing Nimorovsky. Very mature skating for 14yo. 3Lz3T very strong. Rotates fast. Maybe 3A, 4`s are possible. I liked also she wasn`t entirely happy with the skate. Good when skater knows a winning program from a so-so one.

Other that all the whickety whack at the top of the dress, I like Isabeau's FS costume. I'm glad they didn't go in the pastel pink, or barely blue route. . I'm obsessed with her SP dress though. Chef's kiss perfection!

I also feel like the FS music is a double edged sword. It definitely showcases her detailed lines, but it also highlights that she is as slow and languorous as the music.

Lin-Gracey - where did that come from?! hope she can keep this momentum going throughout the entire season. super impressed! program doesn't go anywhere but she was able to make it work for her.

Levito - another program that went nowhere and hated the dress color. pretty generous calling for her with some sketchy rotations being called clean.

Yoshida - LOVE her. LOVE this program. LOVE her 3A. LOVE her hair.

Kaiser - another one who got a lot of free passes on cheated jumps. looked really orangey tan on my screen. GREAT dress though.

Chiba - callers seemed really harsh on her while other skaters breezed through without getting any calls on obviously q and < jumps. program was snoozy.

Repond - not much going on in this program and the music and costume are unbearable.

I love Isabeau’s green FP dress. Absolutely detest her SP dress with those golfball-sized jumbo pearls in the back. The black dress without the pearls would be better.

Love the midnight blue color of Elyce's dress. The sparkly dagger down the front is maybe a bit much.

I LOVE that dress.
