Isabeau - same dress as from Cranberry and I still don't like it - the whickety-whack on the top is too much and the chartreuse green is not great for her coloring, IMO. She's not letting the jumps get away from her today. Bandit harassed me for cheese in the middle of the program and I got distracted and here's what I have to say trying to get back into it... It's all very lovely, pretty, balletic, bland, generic, inoffensive skating that isn't ever going to go viral in today's world because there's just nothing really compelling about it.

Who gave this young teenager a mother of the bride dress? Isabeau, please just wear something simple & streamlined!

Levito - nice to see her not in monochrome! Libestraum isn’t my favourite and the programme feels a bit empty but I like it more here than on the Cranberry fancam. Everything except the jumps is lovely and I think she could still have a moment with this if she’s skating more confidently later in the season.

Sara-Maude - emeraldy-forest green dress with lots of gold crystals/stoning on the bodice - illusion neckline with a modest v in the front and open back, same green sleeves. And there are jump issues - this is going to drop her behind both Isabeau and Hana - which is not a shock at all to anyone who is familiar with her. Having said that, there's a 24 point gap between Hana and Kimmy, so plenty of space for Sara-Maude to still manage a respectable top Canadian woman finish here.

Livia - white dress with a very fitted, almost tight skirt, round neck, sleeveless, sheer back that is covered in a fireworks/starburst pattern of silver crystals, buttons up the back - this could be a very gorgeous wedding dress if it was floor-length - and you're not going to convince me that that's not exactly what they did here - just bought a wedding dress off the rack and cut the skirt to skating length, lol. Music is "Prelude a l’apres-midi d’un faune" by Claude Debussy and her skating is all very lovely. I actually really like this for her, to be honest - she's using her long limbs very expressively.

Mone - music is Ariana Concerto No. 1 by Yves Lévèque, César Franck - dress is red one-shoulder with crystals/stoning, red airbrushing on both arms - one starts at the bicep down to the wrist, the other is just the forearm to wrist in red. She looks nervous and some of her jumps have some minor issues with the landings. Music is sweepy & flowing, but now it's turning dramatic with some staccato piano and strings, then the orchestra kicks in with some build and that's nice enough.

Someone has GOT to skate to something upbeat or I'm going to drift off to sleep again.

Mone is lovely but I didn’t sleep enough and I’m zzzzzzzzz

 Wyliefan.

Yeah, I'm trying my best to stay awake for Elyce. Just 6 more minutes!
I'm so glad I managed to fall asleep by 9pm last night, so I managed a good 6 hours or so, plus a shorter nap in the afternoon, otherwise I'd be right there with all y'all falling asleep, lol.

Elyce - very classy black dress that ombres into a denim blue on the shredded skirt; large, jewel-encrusted collar with the same jewels/stoning down the deep v panel of the front of the bodice, halter-style black straps coming off the shoulders to the armpits on the back and a smaller jeweled v-patch on the small of her back, she also has jeweled cuffs around her wrists and one bicep. She is steady as a rock with these jumps today.

And the war over who should have gotten the SkAm host TBD spot will continue to rage in the US Women's thread, lol. I mean, I'm not complaining about that kind of a fan war when we have two VERY deserving, capable young women who have gone out here in the early season and absolutely SLAYED with their skating and programs. I just hope they both wind up with a 2nd GP.

Wow. 2 squeaky clean programs from Elyse. I guess she’ll be behind Isabeau on PCS and she does need more expressive choreo but that was impressive.
