Yuma Kagiyama’s new free skate is “Rain, In Your Black Eyes,” choreographed by Lori Nichol.
His exhibition is “Underground,” choreographed by Akiko Suzuki.
He previously announced his new short program is “Believer,” choreographed by Shae-Lynn Bourne.

Thanks, @YukiNieve for these 2 Dreams on Ice video links!
Shoma Uno: Gravity (SP)

Kaori Sakamoto: Rock With U/Feedback (SP)

Kaori's program has a full of interesting movements. She still seems to be in the process of mastering them and some movements look rough, but I think the program has lots of potential. 😊

Thanks, Sylvia, for finding Yuma's Believer SP video. I have been looking for it since my friends who saw his performance in person were raving about it.

Yuma looks very cool and the program looks very promising!

I'd think a better translation for the show's theme will be 'Determination and Evolution'.

The very first show will debut on Sept. 10th to 11th at Shiga (Shiga Perfectual Ice Arena). And what I like the most is that, the show is scheduled to end by Mar 17th to 19th, 23' at Arena Tachikawa Tachihi, which will be Mao's new home rink (if everything works out).

So far there's no news about who the members will be for the new tour, so we'll find out more about that later.

Japan is holding a national training camp for the first time since 2019 (Zach Donohue is an invited coach):
Participating skaters (8 men, 7 women): Yuma Kagiyama, Kaori Sakamoto, Kazuki Tomono, Kao Miura, Shun Sato, Sota Yamamoto, Tatsuya Tsuboi, Takeru Kataise, Nozomi Yoshioka, Wakaba Higuchi, Mana Kawabe, Mai Mihara, Rino Matsuike, Mao Shimada, Hana Yoshida.

Yuma Kagiyama hopes to add more quads in competition this season:
I'm in the process of improving now, but "I got off one Lutz yesterday. I think it's getting better. The probability isn't so good, so it's about 70%. But soon. I think it will be stable, "he said with confidence in learning Lutz.
I'm struggling with one [quad] loop. "I've been doing it since last year, but it's very difficult," he said with a bitter smile. As a bonus, I feel like I'm doing it when I have more time. " In any case, a master is a must. "Ultimately, I want to be able to fight with 5 of 4 types," he said this season's aspirations.

Shun Sato has recovered from the surgery on his left shoulder back in February and his new FS is "Red Violin" ("Aranjuez" performed by violinist Ikuko Kawai, I assume?), choreographed by Kenji Miyamoto:
He hopes to add a quad Salchow in competition this season, to go with the other quads he's previously included in his FS (Lutz, flip, and 2 toe loops). ETA that his "Carol of the Bells" SP was choreographed by Yuka Sato: https://twitter.com/figureskatingm1/status/1545678108384448512

Junior champion Mao Shimada, 13, is participating in her first national training camp with senior level skaters:
She is keeping her "Lion King" SP (she skated to it in her international debut to win the Adv. Novice event at Egna Trophy in April) and has a new FS is a "contemporary number that combines two songs." She will make her JGP debut this fall and should be a top contender if she continues to land her 3A and 4T.

ETA link to a Kazuki Tomono article:
<SP> "Both [programs] have their own personality as a theme, but in reality they are genres that I have never done. Both are challenging. The year that any player can challenge after the Olympic season is over. I am the same. [Jazzy] SP is up tempo. But actually, it's my first time. The song title is also happy, so I hope it will be a program that makes everyone happy to see me really enjoying skating. "
<Free> "[Strauss' Die Fledermaus Overture is] a classic, but it has a little comical taste. It's a classic, but I think it's a program that gives you a little personality. The way you take the rhythm is a little different. It's a unique classic. I think it's difficult to get the rhythm one by one, and I don't think it's possible to cheat with each pose. I think it's a song that gives me the tasks I need."

The 22nd Japan Open team competition & the Carnival on Ice gala will be held on October 8, 2022 at the Saitama Super Arena (will create a separate thread when the skaters are announced).

^^^ I don't think it's worth getting riled up about something like that. :)

Prince Ice World 2022-2023 - Brand New Story III ~ Our Compass ~ just began in Tokyo (7/15-7/18).

You can see a snippet of each of the performances of Shoma Uno, Yuma Kagiyama, Kazuki Tomono, and Keiji Tanaka.

Kazuki's new exhibition proguram is very interesting.

I love Keiji's Chopin program choreographed by Tatsuki Machida.

Red Violin music is by John Corigliano.
Yes, but I haven't seen confirmation online that Sato is using music from the film soundtrack by Corigliano. Quite a few Japanese and other skaters previously have used the Ikuko Kawai version of "Red Violin" (Aranjuez). Machine translated excerpt from the end of this recent Shun Sato article: https://www.nikkansports.com/sports/news/202207090000572.html
Free is "Red Violin". He says he will be a classic challenge following last season's "Phantom of the Opera".
"I decided to continue to try classical music this season. I haven't finished the free song yet. I haven't finished it yet, so I don't want to see it here, but it's a different classical music from last year. I wish I could create an image of. " As with last season, the choreography was requested by Kenji Miyamoto.
Finally, when asked about his goals for this season, he said, "I want to finish without injury throughout the season. I want to do my best with the goal of getting to the podium at the All Japan Championship."

JGP Yerevan: Takeru Amine Kataise (J4), Shunsuke Nakamura (J6); Hana Yoshida (J4), Mone Chiba (J3)

JGP Grenoble: Nozomu Yoshioka (J3); Mao Shimada (J1, N1); Nao Kida / Masaya Morita (J1)

JGP Gdansk: Tudoi Suto (J16)

JGP Egna: Takeru Amine Kataise (J4), Rio Nakata (J17, N1)

One Junior Men entry for JGP Grenoble, one Junior Men entry & one Junior Women entry for JGP Gdansk and two Junior Women entries for JGP Egna have yet to be decided.

Based on the WJC results last season Japan only had 1 entry in 7 events for Junior Women originally, now there're 11 entries in total. I assume it's Switzerland that gave up some spots.
