GPdF 2025 PBP - Women SP: “Which came first - the chicken or the edge (call)?”

That was a beautiful program from Sumiyoshi. It was a completely different style from Nakai, and coming directly after her I felt like it didn't have quite enough "oomph", although taken on its own I think I would love it.

After 1st of 2 groups - the SP results so far:
1 Ami NAKAI JPN 78.00 44.84 33.16 8.25 8.39 8.29 0.00 #5
2 Rion SUMIYOSHI JPN 71.03 38.31 32.72 8.07 8.21 8.32 0.00 #6
3 Lea SERNA FRA 57.06 30.08 27.98 7.07 7.11 6.86 1.00 #3
4 Young YOU KOR 54.40 27.04 28.36 7.21 7.00 7.11 1.00 #2
5 Clemence MAYINDU FRA 48.05 25.82 22.23 5.43 5.61 5.68 0.00 #1
6 Livia KAISER SUI 42.30 21.46 24.84 6.39 6.04 6.25 4.00 #4

Lin Gracey’s jumps look very heavy and underrotated. Even the double axel.

Isabeau struggling a bit on the flip. Managed two “clean” combos one clearly ur and the second maybe q. Just did a third that looked ur. But the flip takeoff is a lot better in person than it used to be.

Schild has made major improvements in the last season and a half but she still has this janky jerky rotating quality and she’s another one where the core is almost completely stiff the whole time so the upper body barely does anything besides some bent arms. But she really has improved more than that makes it sound
