Can someone recall why Zaretski's retired after that seaosn?
They somehow seemed on their way up.

They had better free dances.Too bad this is not one of Khokhlova's better FDs, but the costume makes up for that quite a bit.

Ending a partnership is perfectly fine; it's the timing of it that made it very hard to warm up to Chock/Bates.Agreed. I continue to wish that she'd found an amazing partner instead of been left out in the cold. Partnerships don't work sometimes, and throwing around blame at this point is silly. But what a sadness for her not to have had more of a career.
Leave the Zars alone!The Zaretskys![]()
We didEmily SamuelsonCan't believe we never got to see her after Bates went for Chock.
Apparently so. Such a contrast from watching 2006 OD's with my 99 year old aunt last night. She really dislikes all those tatters, lol.Stunning costumes.
I am a sucker for shreds.
Didn't a handful of people get to see it at an untelevised/unfilmed club show or something, right before Evan's injury? I just remember the glowing reviews. It's the legend that never really was.![]()

Sorry, I have a PTSD reaction to Israeli ice dancers after what happened with Chait/Stakhnovski winning the World Bronze medal.Leave the Zars alone!
IMO, theirs was one of the few acceptable Schindler's List programs.
Had forgotten all about that!
Don't let that stop you from enjoying some Shira Ichilov divatude.Sorry, I have a PTSD reaction to Israeli ice dancers after what happened with Chait/Stakhnovski winning the World Bronze medal.
