DWTS Season 25

Damn. When I read that Julianne was not coming back I actually let out a little bit too loud "yes" as I was surfing the net working. ;) We don't need guest judges!! We don't need 4 judges!! It just takes time away from actual productive comments from the judges who actually know about dancing in some form or another, and wastes too much unnecessary time!

No guest judges!!! :mitchell:

I'm very frustrated. Now that CTV no longer airs DWTS in Canada, I have nowhere to live stream the show. Guess I'll be searching for clips tomorrow.

Debbie Gibson dancing to one of her own 80's hits. Not sure if that's tacky or brilliant!

This older woman has zero rhythm. Does she know she has to move to the beat of the music?

Vanessa was better than Nick, imo. She got a 21 and he got a ??

Aww, Frankie Muniz looked so nervous before he danced and he looked like he was marching around for a bit. Good effort.

Turned it off half way through. Just can't get invested in people I don't know.

Hope you all enjoy the season!

Frankie is 32 so I'm not sure why his partner said he was old enough to be her dad??

LOL! I came back online to look that guy up to see how old he was since I don't know who he is. Cause when she said that he was her dad's age, I figured that had to put him at close to 45 and I thought damn he look good for 45!

I don't think Drew is gonna have to worry about that free kitchen for Emma if he wins because ...... yeah .... not to worry!

I think Violin Girl is the clear favorite right now. I expect her to be in the Finals. Aw hell, I pick her for the win! :P

I thought Terrell Owen was *grossly* underscored, at the moment and all the more so with the mostly horrible hoofing that followed. Cheryl will whip him into shape.

Enjoyed it much more than I expected. Don't know most of them so don't care too much at this point. I do like the Hamilton guy. They all seem fresh and positive. And no crying yet, thank goodness!

I feel like 98°'s choreography and dancing was quite lacking compared to the likes of the Backstreet Boys and N*Sync. Just because Nick was in a boy band doesn't mean he's a good dancer.
Jonathan Knight proved that on Amazing Race.

So no Julianne but only one judge will critique to save time?

They could save time if they didn't spend so much time "interviewing" them afterwards and having other people there to comment.

I will only watch intermittently as I always do with the dancing/singing type shows. The only ones I am interested in are Lindsey Stirling because I adore her (and wowee, she can move!) and I liked the Hamilton guy, maybe the football guy, and the ESPN girl. And how many Lacheys are there? Seemed to be 4 of them on the show last night. :D

Once I knew Jordan Fisher (Hamilton guy) was going to be on, I was cheering for him from the get go. Haven't seen Hamilton, but LOVED him in Grease Live. But jeepers, he and Lindsay need to learn to get along! (sarcasm). I thought he deserved all 8s, if only for how solidly he held his arms in frame!

Lindsay was fantastic. Great musicality. She has a bit of weirdness in her legs to me. Kind of twisty in an unusual way. I feel like she's made for dances like the cha cha. I hope she carries it over to the ballroom too. I didn't feel like Mark seemed too excited to be back, but it's nice to have him back. I fully expect to see some quirkiness coming up in future weeks.

Vanessa Lachey (I keep wanting to call her Vanessa Minnillo) is so adorkable! Frankie Muniz is adorable too.

I didn't mind the one judge commenting, because they actually gave real critique! And it made the other judges give quick critique when giving the score. I prefer this to the usual.

I'm already reading predictions that the top 2 will be Jordan and Lindsay.

I think in his interview, he said that 98 degrees was the non dancing boy band. That made me laugh for some reason.

A decent night of dance, a lot more fun than SYTYCD has been. I figured Barbara C. and Keo would go but poor Keo, how many times is he assigned the first-to-go spot? Don't know who's next. Len sure doesn't seem to like Gleb but then Gleb always tries to argue with him.

A few people, especially in the second half of the show definitely overscored. The site Pure DWTS actually mentioned how statistically it seems that dances in the second half get marked up a bit, and I definitely saw that in the scores of some people (like Victoria).

In what world should she (and Vanessa who I really enjoy) be tied with Jordan? I do agree with Len that Jordan's Viennese waltz was a bit staccato, but it was definitely (IMO) the best of the night, which was not reflected in the score.

I wasn't a big fan of Lindsay/Mark's quickstep. In the 'caterpillar' section, you couldn't see her legs or feet, and they took way too long for them to break out of her cocoon. Love having Mark's creativity back. On the EW recap they mentioned how the 'caterpillar' wardrobe was half-assed. Since Mark has danced in an actual monkey suit, and a rabbit suit, he should have totally worn an actual caterpillar costume (complete with antennae). Lindsay's dress was amazing, though.

Also, as much as I like Vanessa, I find it unfair that she and Nick get double the screen time as everyone else, since the producers seem to require them to be in their partners' interviews as well. Meanwhile a bunch of the stars don't even get Erin time.

Frankie still isn't the best dancer, but IMO he's the most endearing one there. Based on dancing my top ones are Jordan/Lindsay, Vanessa/Maks, and for personality I'd put Frankie/Witney up there too.

Also, Sharna might out-Mark Ballas-face Mark Ballas! And love Derek's mom's honesty!

I am enjoying this cast even though not as familiar with them all. I like Vanessa and violin lady and wow for the woman who was paralyzed.. incredible back story. Marc Ballas not looking quite as fit, I recall reading about all the drama with his mother when I was in Europe last week! All over the tabloids.

Frankie & Witney had my favorite dance of last night. It's the only one that I rewound to watch again right away. He has such a great attitude, I hope he can hold out to the end. I've always thought Witney's choreography has been great, Lindsay's as well. Val's choreography is seriously underwhelming. I love his partner, though, what a great spirit.

Bummed that Alan finally became a pro and lasted to only the second week. Hopefully he will get another shot. Then again they've brought Keo back season after season with underwhelming results, so..

The Lachey's aren't really my favorite. I don't think Nick will be around too much longer. Vanessa probably will be but I can see her getting voted off just before the finale.

Also can't believe how much improvement Drew Scott had since the first week.

I feel like they're really nitpicking Jordan. Frankie's dance was awesome, and he showed personality and 'swagger' but Jordan's actual dancing was the best.

So far my favorite based just on personality and who I want to see on the screen are Franke and Victoria. I wonder if Val's choreography is limited by her physical limits, but she doesn't want to highlight those.

In terms of actual dance, I've liked a different person each night so far, but Hamilton guy is clearly the front runner.
