Wow! We get a lot of black bears in CT and I've seen one in my backyard. I called animal control to report it and the only thing that the woman to whom I spoke was, "Just don't go outside". Duh....

I totally love this! It's why I won't adopt an animal. My cancer diagnoses are why. I wouldn't want to leave an animal without a Mommy.

Unfortunately, the original cancer cannot go into remission, but is manageable. The only issue is that the drug that keeps it manageable, cases other cancers for which I had to have major surgery. I thank the doctors and supporting professionals at Yale's Smilow Cancer Hospital for keeping me alive for almost 18 years.
