My mother's cat (long gone) used to come when called for his insulin injection. I also used to ask him if he wanted "a snacki"?
He would go to the refrigerator and I used to take out a quarter of a slice of American cheese; he would purr and drool as he ate small pieces that I'd feed him. He owned the entire family.
