2025 Skate America Rhythm Dance - Blue (At This Themed Dance)

Gage Brown is so engaging. His sister just doesn't match his performance or skating levels.

Rotational Lift 4

Nice feel for the music, and good energy from both. I like that they're trying to style Gage a bit older, but the facial hair is clearly a work in progress. Stumble coming out of the pattern step may impact the scores.

Oh, I loved the Browns too. I don't know whether I'm just in an extra-good mood today or what but, so far, I'm loving all the music choices and programs. These dancers would love to have me on their judging panel today ... I'd probably be quite generous.

That was a crazy workout from the Browns. I’ll be honest, I don’t like the packaging. They’re in their twenties and, while they have incredible synchronization and great energy, they look like super-polished juniors. I hope their team can help them grow as seniors if they’re going to continue together.

Johnny must be off his meds. He really thinks Britney Spears wouldn't play well in a big arena? BRITNEY SPEARS?!!

If a team came out to "It's Britney BITCH" and went straight into Ooops I Did it Again in a little Lolita school girl outfit, the audience would lose their damn minds.

Might be awkward timing in the Epstein e-mail era ... :shuffle:

Agreed but I don't think those were 90's songs - Baby One More Time was though.

Pattern step B, low (generous) GOE on the twizzles… the transition to seniors is rough. Hope F/F are able to work through the technical issues because they have a great presence in the ice.

As said to interviewer Lynn Rutherford and posted on X:
Phebe Bekker's stunning RD dress by Matthieu Caron "is inspired by the 1991 Versace runway. It was on my Pinterest board the whole time .... We knew we had to go high fashion," she says
That fits well. The video to Freedom (and also the video to Too Funky) starred all the 90's supermodels.

Apparently so .... but I only say that because I read it here. I'm NEVER up to date on the skating gossip though ... so just color me "out of the loop."
Can someone point me to a thread? I've been out of the loop so color me shocked....I don't want to hijack this thread to discuss that. TIA

Fradji/Fourneaux seem a bit slow but have a nice look together. Their transitions in and out of elements are a bit untidy.

The transition to senior ice dance may be the most difficult transition of any of the disciplines, and this is a team that is clearly not quite thriving in their first senior season. Program has a nice concept, but it's not sitting comfortably with them right now.
