It's not quite Skate America magic of previous seasons, but it's still pretty good. The commitment to the performance, and the engagement with the judges, the music, and the audience is unmatched.

It was good enough to beat Grassl. I don't think Brown's losing any sleep over his chances. That's the fabulous thing about Jason Brown--he can miss a couple of jumps and the program still works, cause jumps aren't why one watches Jason Brown.

I think Jason skates for his fans and for himself. Medals are nice and all, but I think he skates because he loves his fans and skating

Well, all things considered, that was a great skate for Kevin! Some more work to do before French Nats and the 2nd half of the season, but hopefully this is a positive sign for him!
