Do we think a 2nd & 4th will be enough to get Grassl to the GPF? I haven't really paid much attention to the math for the men to have a good sense of the various scenarios.

I meant nationals only. For this free skate, yes, I think someone can beat that 70 tes at nationals (even Liam almost beat it).
On a good day, some other guys can get good pcs.
I find this Brown program blah

It was good enough to beat Grassl. I don't think Brown's losing any sleep over his chances. That's the fabulous thing about Jason Brown--he can miss a couple of jumps and the program still works, cause jumps aren't why one watches Jason Brown.

I want to know his thinking process for his song choices. Like how does a Kazakh pop song go with The Fifth Element? I'm assuming there is a reason; maybe lyrically they make sense together. I don't know, and I want to know.

This program is a tough watch with all the music cuts, and the random, half-hearted choreography, and performance. Add to that that the jumps are not clean, and Mikhail is not showing the technical consistency or sharpness of last season.

Shaidorov wanted to honor his Kazakh heritage, which is why he's skating to Dimash and The Fifth Element soundtrack. Mama Ten should have sent him a bunch of other Kazakh artists to consider - any of them would have been better, I'm sure.
