Norwegian Nationals results from this past weekend in Oslo: https://kunstlopresultater.no/2024-2025/2024_12_OI/index.htm
1. Mia Risa Gomez 167.78 đŸ„‡ (3x Senior Champion)
2. Linnea Kilsand 146.79 đŸ„ˆ
3. Oda Havgar 140.84 đŸ„‰

Junior women:
1. Pernille With 134.48 đŸ„‡
2. Therese Kristine HĂ„vĂ„g 115.43 đŸ„ˆ
3. Celin Beate Ellingsen 110.95 đŸ„‰

Junior men:
1. Daniil Valanov 137.70đŸ„‡

IÂŽm pretty sure Mia has grabbed the Euros spot now. Selection will be done this week along with Winter University Game and EYOF. It wasnÂŽt given Mia would end up with Euros this season, despite her strong ending at Worlds last year. Nationals was going to play a big role this year since both Linnea and Mia had even results throughout the first competitions. Both of them had some rough competitions. Mias best score before Nationals was 124, and the last international competition 119. She did two clean skates and produced her 2nd highest score in her career. I donÂŽt know what has been bothering her before this season but she looked so much better now - confident and solid jumps.

Thanks @Wyliefan! I wasn't able to read the article at first but found a way and here are some key excerpts:
The focus for this 19-year- old is the [Bergamo] IceLab Ăš Centro di Eccellenza, an academy run by the international ice skating union for athletes from all over the world who need regular access to a rink and harbour professional ambitions. This is where she runs through a blizzard of work on and off the ice from Monday through to Friday. [...]
Tkacheva Tracey was born in Ireland to a Russian dad and a mother from Belarus. She was five when the family moved to Moscow for work reasons and her parents brought her to an ice rink. There were three rinks within a 20-minute drive radius. On their doorstep. Little did they know then how spoiled they were.
Tkacheva Tracey is a two-time junior national champion. She has competed in a myriad of countries and has spent time training and competing in the US and Europe, but Ireland’s lack of any suitable facilities has been a handbrake on her ambitions. That she is still sticking at it, 14 years after what was even then deemed to be a ‘late’ start aged five, is nothing short of miraculous.
And she knows it.
“Every day that crosses my mind, At least once a day. Most of my friends have had to retire but I’m still here and I’m really glad that I am because I would like to think that I still have potential that I can unlock in this sport. It has been such an incredible journey and one that I can’t imagine not going through. I am so grateful that I was able to stick with it because it has brought me so many opportunities and I can’t imagine my life without skating.”
Bergamo is basically the last roll of this dice. Her exam results were enough to be offered biomedical life and health sciences in UCD but skating’s pull prompted her to defer that and a similar course in Queen’s University. Why Queen’s? Well, she liked the college. And Dundonald is less than half an hour away.
Skating will frame her life, until it can’t any longer.
Italy gives her the time to make a more informed choice. The plan is to stay on for the academic year, and maybe into the summer, to see if she can make up for all that lost time on the ice at home in Ireland. And, boy, does she have time to make up.
Bergamo makes for three hours a day on the ice. That was as much as she managed in a week here at home.
“Honestly, I don’t know what I was doing before I came here. What you really need for ice skating is consistency and focus on the ice. It has massively improved my skating skills. I’m training for almost three hours a day compared to three hours a week.
“I feel a lot more confident on the ice, so much more confident, so much more comfortable in my own skin. I can do better skills. Honestly, I am just a lot happier where I am at the moment. It has really benefited me here.”
Christmas brings almost two weeks home in Gorey and a remove from a rink for the first time since she first left. Belfast is not on her radar while home but the ongoing lack of any winter sports facility in this country continues to gnaw away.
Efforts by the various Irish winter sports bodies to build one that would be fully financed by private investment and add millions to the local economy have fallen on deaf ears despite some whispers of interest from local authorities in a few counties in recent years.
Tkacheva Treacy talks passionately but lucidly and logically about it. About the fact that Ireland is one of only four countries in Europe without such a facility. About how beneficial it would be to the economy and the social fabric of society here. And about the demand for places on ‘learn to skate’ lessons in places like Dundrum that are loaded down with waiting lists.
She has seen first-hand how the absence of a rink has scuppered dreams. Her own sister Justina has had to quit skating at just 14 years of age because of it. Winter sports may be seen as exotic in Ireland, she says, but that’s not the case anywhere else. So Tchakeva Tracey, like the rest of our skaters, has had to pack her bags and find a home abroad.
“It’s a really difficult situation to be in,” she admits. “I would love to stay there, I would love to pursue my education there. I received 620 points in the Leaving Cert and I would love to get an Irish education in UCD, that has the perfect course for me. But I have to look into European colleges and places outside of Ireland because I can’t train at home.”

Skate Austria's recap (Dec. 15):
Highlights of the weekend:
Olga Mikutina impressed with a new season best of 188.47 points, won the national championship title and confidently qualified for the European Championships. "I wish the national championships were in Vorarlberg every year," said the Vorarlberg native, who was enthusiastic about the atmosphere in her home country.
In pair skating, Sophia Schaller & Livio Mayr and Gabriella Izzo & Luc Maierhofer delivered a thrilling duel. Schaller & Mayr defended their title, while Izzo & Maierhofer secured their place in the European Championships with a razor-thin lead in the entry criteria.
In the men’s competition, Maurizio Zandron triumphed again and underlined his role as the top skater in Austrian figure skating.

I haven't seen a link yet. There's a Time Schedule (Jan. 20-26, 2025) as of Jan. 2nd on the Bavarian Ice Sports Association's event page: https://bev-eissport.de/eiskunstlauf/bavarian-open-bayerische-meisterschaften-eiskunstlauf/

ETA: 5 groups of both Junior Pairs and Ice Dance teams are listed on the schedule (some trying to get the Junior Worlds CTES); also listed are 3 groups of Senior Ice Dance teams and 2 groups of Senior Pairs.

We already knew that SVK's Sitkova/Kubacak split, but there were some questions (maybe in the Pairs Gen Discussion thread) about the status of Hungary's Roethenbuehler/Berei and today's Bavarian Open entries confirm they split sometime after the JGP. He is entered in Bavarian Open with Lily Wilberforce, obviously representing Hungary.

She is Canadian and was on ISP last spring per this post from last season's Canadian Pairs thread - it doesn't look like she's ever competed internationally and the last time she competed domestically was July 2023. https://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/threads/2023-24-canadian-pairs-news-updates.110746/post-6586696

Oct. 8, 2024:
Like Alysa Liu, Niki Wories (NED) announced her retirement in 2022 and is returning to competition this week at CS Budapest Trophy (she won a small club international in Dordrecht last month), coached by Thomas Kennes - here's an article in Dutch
Niki Wories is competing at Sofia Trophy in Bulgaria tomorrow & Saturday (looking for the 90 Worlds CTES; currently 86.38 from Nebelhorn Trophy) before Euros in Tallinn - Google translated excerpts from today's article:
Who would throw a months-long program overboard just before a major tournament to start something new? "Nobody," says Wories very firmly. "But I can't do anything else. The text and music of my short program (Who I am by Alan Walker, ed.) no longer suit me. Yes, they fitted in perfectly with the period of my comeback. At that time, I was very much at one with the music that meant something to me. The mood I had at the time, a bit gloomy, has disappeared. I'm an emotional person. As soon as something doesn't feel right anymore, I start looking for solutions. In the meantime, I've taken a step further after relaunching my sports career. It's time to create more impact with the short program."
... "Yes, but if you don't take risks, you won't get anywhere. I really enjoy it, I even enjoy it. My point is that I've always done it in a certain way, but I haven't achieved what I wanted to achieve. That's why I no longer wanted to stick to what I've always done. Thomas and I heard the music that another skater was skating to at one of the previous competitions. It was from Titanic, the love story of Rose and Jack. A well-known fragment with which we want to trigger the jury a bit more."

Niki Wories did not get the Worlds CTES in Sofia - (ETA) she will try again in Oberstdorf at the Bavarian Open on Jan. 22-23.

Unfortunately, Olga Mikutina has WD from both this week’s Universiade in Torino and Europeans “due to health problems” and Anton Skoficz has WD from the Universiade due to injury - Skate Austria’s post today: https://www.instagram.com/p/DExPRvHIRDe/

ETA - Euros entries as of Jan. 2nd:
Olga MIKUTINA AUT
Stefanie PESENDORFER AUT
Sub: Flora Marie SCHALLER AUT

ETA 2: Flora Schaller has replaced Mikutina in the updated ISU entries as of today, Jan. 13.

At least Anna Valesi isn't a 15 year old girl. Krasnapolski still "wins" at the dubious partnership game.

Oh, wow! There are two other women entered for the Senior Women's event at Belgian Nationals! Everyone gets a medal and maybe a pony too! :)
Indeed. All the pages do say:

Qualification rule: The best 24 skaters after Short Program will advance to the next segment ;)

Some translation

It is gradually becoming a season to forget for Loena Hendrickx. The Belgian figure skater will also not be able to defend her European title in Tallinn (Estonia). Her ankle appears to be too unstable after the injury she sustained during training. "The bad luck just keeps following me," she shares.
Not the season Loena Hendrickx had hoped for.

She opened at the beginning of October with a third place in the Shanghai Trophy, but afterwards she had to pass for the Grand Prix de France in Angers, the Finlandia Cup in Helsinki and the Golden Spin meeting in Zagreb.

In December she injured her ankle during training. That also threw a spanner in the works of her European Championship preparation. A tournament that she will now not be able to start as title defender.

"After further examination, her ankle appears to be too unstable to be able to bear full weight and therefore compete. She will have to miss the European Championships - which start on January 29," her team said.

Who wants to start the poll for European women’s champion, with Anastasiia not having a great season. All three medals are up in the air.

I’m hoping for someone from team Italy

I’ll say now the podium will be somebody from Italy, Pinnzy and Kimmy, with Anastasiia as wildcard
