So…..has the World Athletics site completely trashed now? Because I feel like it’s accessibility has been completely unacceptable this week.
It seems to have crashed. The best thing to do is sign up, and then you can log in to instant results for live events which has been working fine up until the end of today's competition.So…..has the World Athletics site completely trashed now? Aah, the decathonists! Too bad I have to be in town most of the day.
Jamaican Andrew Hudson had glass in his eye as a result of the accident, ran the semifinal, and was advanced to the final as a result of the accident. The video is shocking! One of the carts - the one that strikes the other - is going way too fast.
And there's a view of the athletes in the cart. One of the men has his hand to his eye, it looks like he is hurt. I don't know how it affected the race immediately afterward.
I hope they're OK today. Sometimes you don't feel the impact of a car accident until 48 hours later.
Rojas advanced to the final 3 jumps by finishing 8th in the first 3 jumps on count back.Rojas leaps to the top on her last jump after looking out of the medals for most of the competition.
Another field event where the gold medal was decided in the final round.Kitaguchi takes javelin gold! Think that is the first field event title for a Japanese woman.
WHAT? You say Flo Jo cheated??? Next thing you'll be saying is that the US has problems passing batons!!!Jackson 21.41 for gold in the women’s 200m!
That’s probably the real world record…
This was absolutely wild, but Athing is such a gamer. I think she's going to run a very different race in the finals. But yeah, she looked mad tbh haha.I tuned in just in time to see 800m women's semi final. Athing Mo got tripped up several times, one athlete actually did fall in one incident, and she made it all the way from the back of the pack to qualify second in her heat to the finals. No interview with her. Can't blame her declining. But that was something.
Spoke too soon!it looks like Ethiopia is going to sweep the medals.
I didn't like Athing not leading the pack like she usually does and it almost came back to haunt her. I bet she will get out in front in the final. This was absolutely wild, but Athing is such a gamer. I think she's going to run a very different race in the finals. But yeah, she looked mad tbh haha.
Canada had won 7 previous gold medals in all the World Championships since 1983, and on course for 4 more this year.Really great champs for Canada and they are likely going to get another gold tonight.
