Yeah, you know, I seem to recall that last year when it was held in Eugene, we were dealing with a really intense heat wave and no one was going to spend time outdoors if at all possible. It is what it is, but when the weather cooled off a bit later in the week, there was pretty good attendance.

She f*cked up in the semis and only got through on time. Worked out for her in the end as it probably took a bit of the pressure off.

Reading an article I was reminded that she is still coached by Dennis Mitchell so umm that’s not great…

Good gawd Mitchell’s defense ?. I am willing to believe she always had the talent to win. She kept getting in her own way. And I think she might always be troubled though I hope the worst is behind her.

I'll admit I didn't see it live and dropped my phone when I read a headline. I saw her semi-final and didn't see it coming. I'm glad she's finally putting it all together. She has really struggled over recent years and I'm glad to see her focusing and doing well.

Selfishly, I really wanted to see her run here. But if she's got a slight injury it's best to rest it and prepare for Paris.

Ato Bolden commented that now that Sidney's got the trifecta (World Record, World Championship and Olympic Gold) in 400mH that she's going to train to run 400m flat. Ato said this repeating Sidney's coach, Bobby Kersee. I would love to see it. If he could get both Sidney and Athing Mo, who also trains this distance and trains with Kersee, that would be a sight to behold! I can't even think about it!!! They did run the 4×400m relay together in Tokyo, so it's not completely out if the question.

There is no question that she is supremely talented. But being coached by Dennis Mitchell is a huge ?
 
Dalilah Muhammad misses the final in the women's 400m hurdles - seems like a number of top athletes are missing finals here - not sure if it's a not prepared, injured, or just a changing of the guard in these events as the Olympics approach again.
