2015 - 2016 TV Season

I actually thought Galavant got worse as it progressed. The first couple of episodes were fun in a goofy, Spamalot OTT kind of way, but that got old, fast.

However there were still some good moments and I enjoyed it as a guilty pleasure. Plus it was only 4 episodes long. (Well, 8 half-hours that they showed as 4 hour-longs, for some weird reason.) So if they do another mini-season like that, I'll probably tune in again.

I'm sorry to see About A Boy go, it was a very sweet show. At least I still have one sitcom to follow with New Girl, which is as sharp as ever. :respec:

I'm shocked that ... American Crime got renewed...

How come? It's the best show on television right now and will win a hundred or two Emmy's this fall. Starting with Felicity Huffman, of course!

Not sure if this is the right thread but I can't see one about new pilots being picked up so I'll post here. I am SO happy NBC have picked up Game of Silence as it has my fave actor David Lyons in it. Although NBC have cancelled or not picked up the last 4 shows he was in so frankly I am really surprised he keeps going back to them :P This show is meant to be really dark so who knows how well it will go down.

A year on and I still haven't got over Revolution being cancelled. After a big campaign they are wrapping the story up with a really rubbish comic book. :blah:

I'm really glad that Night Shift got renewed (they sure took their time announcing that one, LOL) and I am SUPER STOKED that Game of Silence got picked up since I love David Lyons and I ADORE Michael Raymond James! The show looks really intense and mysterious. I've missed seeing those guys on my TV and now I'm gonna get both of them on the same show. SO EXCITED! :cheer:

I love The Night Shift!! I really enjoyed it last summer and have been enjoying it this season too. It's so much fun and the cast is so interactive on Twitter that it makes the show even more fun for me. Glad they'll be back for season three! :D

that leaves CSI as the only remaining CBS series in limbo. According to reports, the network is finalizing plans to bring the long-running procedural back for an abbreviated final season.
Yes!

Then ABC could bring back Forever for the second half of the season because then there'd be less competition in that time slot :saint:

On a more serious note, given how they've drawn out the Samaritan story over a whole season, it kind of seems imbalanced that they now have only half of a season to wrap it up. (if that's really the final season) Hope they can still do it justice!

OMG! I just saw this trailer and couldn't be more excited!

I had no idea this project was in the works!

Me too!!! I only saw one rat in the background though? My favorite episode was with Christopher Reeve and the rats taking over the studio. And in one of the movies they were skating on pats of butter in a frying pan. AND they were the munchkins in the Muppets Wizard of Oz. I'll shut up now....

I"m glad they are going to give CSI a proper send-off but I hate, hate, hate that CSI: Cyber show and I don't think putting Ted Danson into it is enough to save it.

I had heard about the new Muppet tv show but wasn't planning to watch it. However, that trailer was hysterical! Okay, I'm in. :D

Many fans might check it out anyway now that he's in they probably hope that he'll stick around. I'm just surprised that they decided to renew Cyber and are letting go of CSI when Cyber doesn't seem to be that well-received.
I'm looking forward to seeing Peterson and Helgenberger again!

More rats! More rats! More rats! Best part of Muppets Christmas Carol was Rizzo, who stole the show :encore:

I see I am not the only rats fan. Yay! Rizzo is adorable, but I love all the rats! The girls are so cute.

Just want to add that every year I listen to my Muppets and John Denver Christmas tape. I need to transfer that to a CD before the tape deck crashes!! I like it better than the Muppets Christmas Carol one, which I also have. (I also have Emmett Otter's Jugband Christmas on a VCR tape - 1978 or 79???)

Am I a fan, much????? :-)

I've watched the trailer 3 times now and still grin. That bodes very well.

And count me in as another rat fan. I'm thinking that 1 rat in the trailer could easily translate to multiple rat characters/storylines in the actual show. They could do a whole bit about how hard it is for a rat to get good roles, typecasting, etc. And maybe some kind of rivalry between Rizzo and Remy.

Hmm, I will probably check out: Supergirl, Life in Pieces, Minority Report (love Megan Good!), Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Scream Queens, People Are Talking, Oil, Of Kings & Prophets. I didn't see any of the trailers as my laptop sucks.

That schedule makes me wonder where NBC and CBS plan to put the shows they plan to start mid-season. CBS even has two of them, POI and the Criminal Minds spin-off. But I guess they'll figure it out.

Generally they use them to replace failed series.
