It's the CD, not the RD, innit?Especially when the start order gives us 3 Ricky Martin RDs in a row!

My favorite part is Lopareva on her phone while all the drama and hugging are unfolding. The best is Barbara going through the whole IAM to greet Dieck
Thank you @skipaway!

The Skating Session's FD video has been posted: https://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/threads/the-skating-session-a-new-show.112756/page-8#post-6893021I thought Robert Samuels wrote a good article on the FD (it's the only one I've read today that I thought was worth re-tweeting).
Would anyone like to gift link his WaPo article and post the link here [FD PBP thread in Kiss & Cry] and/or in the Dance Hall thread?
I didn't have time to do a deep dive into their X post timeline before sharing here so thanks for pointing that out. Feel free to share more observations about their contradictory conclusions if you feel like it.With all due respect @Sylvia this person you are sharing ( while I don't doubt their credentials ) has a clear bias against FB/C that was evident prior to last nights competition. Many of their retweets clearly show this.
Thank you @skipaway!

Why wouldn't this be a pertinent thread in which to continue a discussion on this topic? Feel free to start a new thread on this topic if you prefer.I will maybe later as it's nearing midnight here and I am not sure this is the thread to do that in?

I’m Lopareva in this video."1 minute and 44 seconds of interesting iam dynamics":

Me too.I’m Lopareva in this video.![]()

that is the opposite of my experience lolOne thing I’ve noticed about this is that’s recent Ice Dance fans and fans of other disciplines are outraged and longterm Ice Dance fans have much less strong feelings about this.
This and Guignard and Fabbri getting a medal in the Team Event for me. I wanted both those teams to get a medal but couldn't see it happening. But it did - just had to be across two events. I'm still happy over 24 hours later.I'm just happy Piper and Paul skated lights out and won a medal.
Robert Samuels is a gem and always has been. I hope we won't lose him with all the layoffs at the Post.
Ah, the Compulsory Dance. RIP!Kuchiki & Smull 96 US Nationals (1:32 & 2:23)

Why don’t we know this? Because most of the commentators for the Ice Dance event are Singles skaters that haven’t skated with a partner longer than a hug. It’s like having the World Wrestling Federation comment on a Ballet except the wrestlers would have done more partner work.
One time, when I still had X Formerly Known as Twitter, I felt compelled to advocate for Courtney Hicks because some professor type mansplained the scoring system to her after she corrected him. The Olympics are great because finally the world is into our niche interest. It’s also awful because the world is full awful people.

I think you mean Chris Howarth, not Simon Reed. Simon Reed lost his job a while back for saying inappropriate things on a hot mic.I confess, I was surprised with Simon Reed judgment though. After Fear&Gibson skated, he said: "It was flawed but it's going to be very close", with Guignard & Fabbri. I know Simon is generous with everyone and he isn't a specialist, but he has seen a lot of figure skating, for so many years, that he should've known it wasn't going to be close. But, more importantly, his colleague - who is an ex Ice dancer and it's her job to offer a professional opinion - was sitting right next to him and didn't say a word.
