Well, it was a courtesy title and she was officially "Diana, Princess of Wales" rather than "HRH The Princess of Wales." She would have continued to be known by the courtesy title & knowing what a huge royalist she was & how fully she supported William, I expect she would have continued gently, politely correcting anyone who mistakenly called her "The Princess of Wales", especially once William & Catherine became "HRH The Prince & Princess of Wales."

Nah, he was just going to give her back the HRH status, which QEII stripped from both Diana & Sarah once their divorces were finalized. It would have been a one-off, sort of like how George VI gave his brother back his HRH status after he abdicated, but also made sure to note that Wallis Simpson was NOT entitled to the HRH status.

As for Charles' estrangement from Harry, I think it probably had to do with Harry saying in the Oprah interview that Charles cut them off financially during Megxit. Later on, it came out that Charles actually financially supported Harry and Meghan for a year until they got settled in Montecito.

In part. It probably also doesn't help that Meghan's allies, speaking on her behalf to friendly tabloids like People, have alleged she covertly recorded private interactions/moments with other members of the Royal Family. Or that the Dutch-language version of Harry's memoir accused both Charles & Catherine as the ones who asked "how dark" would Archie's skin be prior to his birth.
There are a lot of choices Harry & Meghan have made over the last five years that have led to significant trust issues on the part of Charles & other members of the Royal Family.

In other news, I follow Meghan now on IG and her as ever brand. I feel like this is what she should have done initially, instead of going for the podcasts and the Netflix film production. I like her cooking ideas, and the store is pretty affordable.

I totally agree with you. I will confess, in current times with run-away food prices, i applaud anything or anyone that encourages people getting back into their kitchens. Some of Meghans recipes and ideas are quite highbrow but I did make her famous one pan pasta dish and it was good and not beyond anybody's culinary expertise. I also think Prince Harry is at his best when basically sticking to what he has known his whole life - supporting and promoting charitable causes he believes in.

@Karen-W, I'm not doubting you but where did you find out all this info on when H&M were offered royal residences for UK stays? Also Meghan did not travel to London for the queen's funeral, she stayed home with the kids. And you left Andrew off the list of former working royals.

Meghan's as ever works in a way their other projects didn't because you get the feeling that this is what she's comfortable with -- the sort of lifestyle influencer stuff. I was surprised that her store wasn't the overpriced, pretentious goop stuff, but just regular jams and teas.
Meghan attended the queen’s funeral and surrounding events … they were already in the UK for some Invictus related stuff (I think) when she died and they stayed for the funeral. They still had Frogmore as their UK base then. She did not come for Philip’s funeral (she was pregnant and advised not to travel, also Covid restrictions) or Charles’s coronation (held on Archie’s birthday, which was the excuse for why Harry left immediately following the service).

I feel like that dish pops up periodically every once in a while with very slight variations, each time associated with a different person. I for one prefer to make my sauce separately, but if people are inspired by Meghan or Martha Stewart or Danielle Amit (here in Israel a few years back), have at it.

I agree, this dish is not revolutionary but she certainly attracts attention so now I see it everywhere. I really enjoy Jennifer Garner and she has a show called the "Pretend Cooking Show" that I think is great. She does use fresh produce from her own garden, is very down to earth, has guests (usually her mother who is darling), and not everything goes to plan, which I relate to. She does promote Kitchen Aid but I even smile at how lovingly she talks to her mixer. As you say - each to their own. This is a positive look for Meghan.

I doubt Meghan will ever step foot in the UK again. And if she won’t go, I doubt she will allow Archie or Lili to travel there either. It’s sad they will grow up without knowing that side of their heritage.

Quite disagree. It's pretty clear that William is very close to both Zara & Peter, and his kids are particularly familiar with their Phillips/Tindall cousins. You see it in tabloid pics that pop up occasionally when they're at different sports/outdoor events in the country, but you also saw it during the QEII Platinum Jubilee Concert. There was a level of familiarity that doesn't come without a lot of private interaction & closeness.
There's a bit of an age gap between the Wales/Tindall kids and Beatrice & Eugenie's growing families and we don't see them as often at country events like we do with the Wales/Phillips/Tindall kids, so there may not be as much closeness there.
I think like any big family, some are closer than others. I have some cousins I am closer to than others, based on age, proximity, and personality/mutual interests. I agree that William seems close to Zara and Peter, and it is clear from public appearances like the jubilee concert and the walk to church on Christmas that their kids know each other well and William and Kate's kids are comfortable with Zara and Mike and vice versa. Zara seems to be on good terms with everyone, always photographed hugging and laughing and being affectionate with them all (including her uncle, the king!). (Side note, I have always thought that if I could be a member of the royal family, I would like to be Zara ... close enough to get invited to all the good parties, rich enough to live comfortably, but far enough that you don't have to deal with the protocol and the responsibility.) Beatrice and Eugenie (their children are still babies/toddlers), and particularly Edward's kids Louise and James, are a bit younger and so it's understandable they wouldn't be as close. I also was struck by all of the grandchildren (William and Harry, Zara and Peter, Beatrice and Eugenie, Louise and James) during both Philip and QEII's funerals and surrounding events, they were clearly grief stricken (I think of the images of when some of them came out from Balmoral to see the floral tributes a couple of days after the queen died, and they had all clearly been crying), mourning their grandparents, not just going through the motions in public.

Yes, it was the coronation she didn't attend, brain fart. I got the 2 events mixed up. I haven't been following Meghan so I didn't know about her jams & jellys doing well. Good for her.
I also don't think she'll ever step foot in London again but once the kids are a little older I think she might be agreeable to Harry taking them to visit without her if the king wanted the visit. That's a big question mark. I've seen articles where he says he would like to know his grandchildren but he's not doing anything to foster that.

The Wales family chose to spend Easter in Norfolk, much like Charles & Camilla used to spend Easter up at Scotland when the Queen was still alive. No biggie.
The report is that William and Kate celebrated Easter privately at their country home with their kids. They don’t always go to Easter at Windsor, so I don’t think this is any reason to be concerned. She seems to be doing well, but still has not resumed a full slate of public appearances.

I read that Louis is now the most google searched of the Wales kids. I don't know what would be earth shattering to find out about a 7 yr old kid or for that matter about any of the kids as they haven't done anything note worthy yet. To each his own.
