Well, I didn't know whether to start a new thread or not. I also didn't see a thread for the occasion or either missed. It doesn't matter, however, in this particular case!

Thank you so much for all you have done to make so many folks happy simply by being you and the humanitarian you are. Your sportsmanship throughout the years has been exemplary to say the least.

One of my most favorite programs of yours that definitely shows how beautiful skating can really be. :respec:

Michelle recently visited the set of Project Runway. I haven't been able to keep up with the show anymore. Is Michelle going to be on a future show or did she ever appear as a guest judge on the show? Sasha Cohen was a guest judge in Season 2.

Probably it was just an off-camera visit by Michelle. Maybe she's a friend of producer, Jane Cha.

I was just checking Hillary Clinton's tour schedule. Thought interested folks here would like to know that Michelle Kwan will be making an event appearance with Hillary on Wednesday, August 10 in Novi, Michigan at the Novi Ice Arena from 3:30pm to 6:30pm. The event is a fundraiser. But maybe open at low cost to regular people?

Then in Detroit, Michigan that same evening another Clinton fundraiser with Michelle: For45 Evening with Michelle Kwan (Central Kitchen + Bar) -- probably a dress-up affair with food and drink, and advance expensive ticket purchase required.

Sadly, Hillary Clinton did not win the WH, but she did win the popular vote. The loss is as Hillary said, 'painful,' but there is life after election day, and many more rivers to cross.

Michelle looks good. She has cut her hair to a pretty mid-length style. I had hoped to hear a bit about her current career plans (will she continue with the state department, for example?); I know Michelle sits on a number of sports-related boards. Scott said that he is on the board of Special Olympics with Michelle. Scott asked MK questions mainly about skating; unsurprisingly nothing about politics.

Looking at some old news article, maybe it's possible that MK left the state department to work full time with the Hillary campaign in July.

Thank you so much for this trip down memory lane!

I've been wanting to rematch MM for a while now. One of my fav programs and costume.

In retrospect, this really was the season her Mercury seemed to be in retrograde. She tried 3 different choreographers, changed her sp, kept fussing with the choreo of SOTBS all season long. It was her first season wearing Wang and she kept changing costumes, and if she repeated one, it would be modified with something added or subtracted. It's like she just couldn't settle or feel "right" all season. Worlds was such a gift! (To us, not her) but the lost luggage and the broken heel, oy vey. At the time it didn't seem so dramatic, but knowing now what would happen next season, it seems more foreshadowing than I picked up on at the time. I really don't envy anyone growing up inthe spotlight, your every awkward moment broadcast.

Michelle has managed to come through it all with such courage and grace though. And she remains positive, no matter whatever private moments she experiences of self-doubt.

It's so cool catching the interview with Scott. I've only watched the edited version from his full show. I must go back and look at the longer separate interview clip.

I know it's none of my business, but I was wondering if maybe now is a time when Michelle will be slowing down enough to start thinking about planning a family, if she's ever going to. Her sister Karen has two daughters who must be teenagers or pre-teens by now. Did MK's brother ever get married?
