2026 Europeans - Men Free Skate - “To Be Or Not To Appleby - That Is The Quadstion?”

He should have higher PCS than most of the others we’ve seen, but don’t think he can overcome the 15 point tech gap with Reschenko

That is some generous PCS for a rather uninspired program.

Not the skate Lukas wanted. Shame. At almost 28 years of age, this could be his last year competing too. Sigh ..... I'm already getting nostalgic thinking about the number of skaters we may not be seeing on the int'l scene again after this season.

He can't be that old already! :fragile:

Lutz< fall
Loop maybe q fall
4S maybe ok
Axel q? fall
3A<+2A+2A
3Lz+3Tq
3Lo+3T< definitely <

4 deductions to start the free skate, every jumping pass in the red besides the 4S, likely to tank even more when q/< get applied.

Grassl’s jumps were looking better in the early season but now seem to have huge hooks again. < in my view.

Oh dear, third fall. Too bad he was already named to the team. And second axel < or worse. Toe looked < too. Disaster.

To be fair, last year's Euros was the splattiest of splatfests for the heavy hitters. I don't think anyone was more surprised than Lukas that he won last year. He deserved it, no doubt, but even if he skated well, not sure he should repeat.

OK. The voodoo doll has traveled to Eruos, and clearly Reshtenko found it. Damn. If the jumps he did land actually get reviewed, we'll know.
