2026 Europeans - Women Free Skate - "You Can Leave Your Splat On"

Great job Niina. I was a bit depressed about the top 3 before she skated (I liked a lot of the previous skaters much better) but it'll look much better with her at the top :)

Final group Milan spoiler? Congrats Niina! And defending the title too!
Maybe? If either Ami or Amber miss their 3A then she could definitely sneak into the final FS group in Milano-Cortina.

And .... that's how a champion skates!! Wonderful performance. Standing O fully deserved. The event ends on a HIGH note indeed.

I am going to have to watch Dune because, obviously, skaters are going to keep skating to it and I don't know anything about it.

Awwww ...... there's the happy K/C we've been wanting to see. What a GREAT podium. Congrats to all.

You are the numbers lady. How do all their PBs, World Standing and averages line up? I can't even remember how many spots each country got and who is confirmed to be there.

I saw both Dune movies but am not sure what the turquoise symbolizes.
In the books, the Atreides family moves from a very water-abundant planet, Caladan, to a desert planet, Arrakis, where water is suuuuuuuper scarce. So symbolizing water vs desert, abundance vs scarcity, Atreides vs Harkkonen, Fremen vs ruling class of the planet.

Obviously she skated an amazing program. Not a fan of her effortful crossovers and general effortfulness of her skating.

(Is Hendrickx’s first name really pronounced “Luna”? So is that just commentary on crack?

Thanks for that. Everything I know about Dune I learned from skating, so basically just that involves desert, sand, and some kind of huge worm-like thing.

In the future, if they do go in for an "artistic program" I'm betting on Nina P. But today Niina wowed. Congrats to all.

WOW .... another exciting finish. Such fantastic singles skaters from Estonia in both the women's and men's events. Must be something in the water!!

Looking forward to lots of excitement tomorrow. I've got a feeling that the men are really going to bring it and the dance event is going to be oh-so-close. Roof might lift off a couple of inches when Fear/Gibson perform.

Looks like I'm even going to have to get up at a decent time as I want to see Edward Appleby skate in front of his home audience.

Bye for now.

For the SP? Niina's 70.61 from Wednesday would put her at #10 on the SP SB list - but ahead of her would be 3 Japanese women who aren't going to the Olympics (Watanabe, Shimada & Sumiyoshi).

Nakai, Chiba, Sakamoto, Liu, Glenn, Jia Shin and Levito all have a higher SB by nearly 3 points or more.

Her total score here would have her in 5th in Milano-Cortina - about 1.4 points ahead of Amber's SB and about 1.1 points behind Mone's SB. Kaori, Ami & Alysa are all well ahead of her on the SB list.

WS haven't been updated yet today with the Euros points but if my math is correct, she earned enough to move into the penultimate group for the SP in Milano-Cortina but not enough to get into the final group. The only person in the final group who looked to be vulnerable to being bumped out was Gubanova but her 5th place finish here was enough to hold off the press from Gutmann & Pinzarrone.
