GPdF 2025 PBP - Rhythm Dance: “Rock Around The Cock”

As usual at least for the first group I feel like these programs are half baked

This is why I quit going to skate America when it’s the first event. It’s generally not the best skating you’ll see.

And it’s made worse this year by some pathetic music decisions by the ISU. Leading to what the heck were they thinking?

Well, now... I didn't pay for the Lombardia livestream and this is the first time I'm seeing PateBye this season. One of the better RDs of the season. Could do without her smiling throughout some of the more intense parts of the program, but this was quite good regardless. It's a real shame they don't have a 2nd GP.

I could do without the yellow wide trim on Jean-Han's shirt.

Fradji/Fourneaux

Yellow is a good color for her, A bit shy in presentation, out of sync on twizzles and she had to hang on, nice foundation of basics to build on

OK, I hate to complain, but my two puppies wrestling on the floor are more entertaining than this dance by F/F

And I was definitely alive in the 90s, where did they find that music? Was there a contest to find the most un-skateable music and that’s what we use?

Celina Fradji/Jean-Hans Fourneaux 🇫🇷
Caoch: Karine Arribert, Mahil Chantelauze
Music: Bug a Boo, Bills Bills Bills

Pattern Dance Type Step Sequence 1
Sequential Twizzles W:3 M:3 - Celina was spinning the 2nd twizzle
Midline Step Sequence W:2 M:1
Choreo Rhythm Sequence

Rotational Lift 4

Love the music choice, but I don't think they had enough sharpness or staccato movement to really pull it off in the program. A few too many errors technically today to get a sense of where they fit in this season.

56.92 = 5th Place

Destiny's Child?...Is this post for real?

After the 1st of 2 groups, the RD scores so far:

One thing I love about the Villard teams is that their programs can be so divisive. At least Arribert is bringing interesting concepts to Ice Dance. She never just gives her teams easy cookie cutter programs. They are challenging, and she choreographs more for art than sport (which I sigh at sometimes, but always appreciate).
