Choreo Rhythm Sequence - Guillaume with a bobble on a knee slide, fall

Quality skating, and the performance was pretty good for such a new program from a very new team.

-1.00 = Falls
78.00 = 1st Place

I fear I'm going to have to read about a bunch of trivial non-blade related stuff with this team all season but I think they are fabulously matched. They've already figured out a way to skate similarly and have appropriate lines. Strong skating, powerful pulls and ice coverage and no hesitation. Even with a new team and on top of that a new program. I don't think anything was overscored really. The lift got conservative GOEs and the levels for now were not overdone (Blumberg). ChSt I need to see again if they are going to get a fall call.

I don't think this RD nor any of the RDs I've seen this year are really all that, but there's about 10 seconds of time to actually sell the program and differ from one team to the next so that's whatever. I could do with about 1 less voguing arm movement while basically standing in place, but that's that.

Medal favorites already at this point for Milano, and I guarantee they will be in the picture for gold by the time February comes.

That was some pretty excessive GOE for rather slow twizzles - at least the judges didn't go over the top with the GOE after Guillaume stumbled on the choreo step sequence.

Meh - which, to be fair, is how I feel about almost all of the RDs this season, lol.

FB/C

Nice twizzles, thought their unison looked better in warmup than in program, nice blade work, lift looked pretty easy, he stumbled on choreo sequence—wouldn’t know from the GOE, though

If Guillame didn't have a fall, that would have been an 84-85 RD. :wideeyes:
Yeah exactly! That GOE increase is massive for anything in the positive-- and they walked away with almost nothing for the entire element.

I found Guillaume really tentative and a bit slow, particularly in the twizzles. Thinking really hard and being deliberate to get through the elements. Real comfort with Laurence, the program, and competing just not there yet (unsurprisingly).
It takes a long time to get fully back into competition shape, longer than fans realise

Fun, and entertaining team with a high energy program, but not the skating skills, depth of edge, speed, or flow to compete with the top teams.

68.08 = 2nd Place

I’m surprised at how much I liked FB&C’s RD. Works so much better for them than their DuranDuran program. I was prepared to dislike it on principle. I think it could bring the house down in February.

I am happy that it feels like this program was made for them, instead of P&C.

Indeed. He will improve and likely quickly.

I think they’re interestingly matched; but disagree with those that say the line is already synchronized. Also, those twizzles were no different than Chock/Bates slowing down to precisely, but at a crawl, execute. If not a bit sloppier.
