She caught there the ‘all jumps will have hand over head’ virus last year and then she was in trouble with her coach because he prefered leaving her hand down and actually landing the jump rather than hand up and falling or underrotating.
Martiusheva is mostly skating with Gavrin in all kinds of shows (Cinderella on Ice, Dracula on Ice etc.), also in Plushenko's (Snow King II, Nutcracker).

Eteri allows ALL parents/grand-parents not just to sit all day at the rink, but she also encourages parents to "mentor the kids" when they are off the ice, watch their food, make sure they get to other types of practices. Med/Zag grand-mothers were/are PERMANENT fixtures at the rink. Medvedeva's grand-mother is/was listed as one of the "official" members of the skating club...with her birthday on the official list for celebration by the rink staff.
and if she acts out, she'll be placed into a play-box with Masaru...

I don't know if Kristina is really trying to just keep her options open, but it seems very unfair to expect your partner to wait around for you to possibly come back after a season, unless it's due to injury. Pairs split up and skaters retire, and that's their right, but this kind of limbo makes no sense. Alexei turns 30 this week and he doesn't have all the time in the world to be sitting around waiting for her to possibly return. Meanwhile, the rest of the pairs field moves on and they lose any momentum they had (which wasn't much to begin with).
It's just so sad...there are so few charismatic men in pairs to begin, with and they're dropping like fliesMorozov & Enbert are about as exciting as a bowl of oatmeal.
