Forthcoming upgrade...

Sorry to be the special snowflake, but this is not working for me. When I click into a thread via the title, it is taking me to the first post in the thread. Do I need to reboot?

If you want to get to the last post of a thread and you don't have any unread posts in it you have to click on the date and time of the last post at the right of the thread. :)

Thank you for the new upgrades. I look forward to exploring and using all the new features. Just two things:

I was just using the mobile version of FSU, and I was wondering if you could add page numbers on top of the thread as well as keeping the page numbers on the bottom of the page.

Also, I noticed that when I was drafting a new message in one of the threads, I received a notification that new messages may have been posted in the thread. In the older version, I was able to click on the new messages to see what they were and I could respond to them as I was drafting, but in this version it doesn't seem clickable any longer.

Seconded

Is there any way to put a more clear/thick line under pinned threads at the top of forum sections like GSD? Right now, the pinned threads just blend in visually with the threads below them. Not a big deal ... Just thinking that a more clear distinction would help things look more organized.

I liked the Verdana font better since it was easier to read. Thoughts?

If the Verdana font was the old classic font, then I agree.

I went into system preferences and selected the classic version & but nothing looks like the classic version. Do I need to go somewhere else?

I don't see "Display" or any obvious options at the bottom of the screen to select in order to change the format back to the original verision.

I'm liking the new changes very much. But some of you mention a mobile version - there's a mobile version of FSU (a mobile URL) other than accessing FSU on the mobile's browser?

Me three for Verdana, if it was the older font.

Much easier for my aging eyes: you know, that of the average figure skating fans age:p

Things seen to be working well! Thanks!

Um, I hate to ask twice, but could you add back the little "v" on the section bars to fold up the ones that are not often looked at? (K&C during the off season, etc.) Your previous response said the "v" would come back, but I don't see it. No rush, and please know that I want to say thanks 1000x more than poking at you about this request.

Yes, I just noticed this too and would like to have the ability to click to see the new posts while composing my message (LOL it just happened right now when I was typing this :))

Is there still an option for 'read first unread post'? And an indicator for threads with new posts, like there used to be?

I guess it would help to mention that I’m on my phone. But I found it in the tab on the side!
The lightning bolt in the upper right also brings up new posts (and other new things). I like minimizing the number of clicks/menus, so I’ve been trying out everything.

Perhaps this is just on my end but editing posts on mobile is limited - back cursor gets stuck and won’t move, for example, and other quirky things that didn’t seem to happen in the old format.

The overall look is cool.

Loving the changes, i'm still getting used to a few things, one of the things is quotes - I might well get used to looking for the blue line down the left hand side but would it be possible to make the shaded box a couple of shades darker? Or maybe shade in the box with the quoter's name in it too?

Another vote for the previous font. The new one is harder to read on my iPad, and if I make the whole thing bigger, then the whole message does not fit on the screen, and I have to scroll constantly side to side. I did go into preferences and pick FSU classic, but I still have the same problem.

I'm adjusting to the changes and like them. I switched to classic and really like the shading on quoted posts. Also, I am having trouble with the smaller font. I run chrome with 125% zoom and am probably going to have to use 150% zoom if the font isn't darker/larger.

Is there a way to disable having the menu bar at the top follow you down the page? The Home / Forums / What's New / Members bit.

Not sure if this was already brought up, but I find the shading on every other post on the main too dark. I like the shading but maybe take it down 10% or something. I found it was harder to read the post titles and I was looking at the coloring.

I really like the new upgrade. I have no complaints. :) Well, except that I miss the "x number of posts remaining" link, but hey, I can adapt. I don't need it. :) Good job, @Server Guy. :40beers:
