Reddit operates on an upvote/downvote system; you don't know who votes on your post/comment. Reddiquette is to be followed to avoid abuse of the downvote and brigading. It's possible to use responsibly and not take personally.

I actually think the angry face is fine. It's useful when people post links to articles that make you made -- like when a coach molests a student.

I imagine we'll see a lot of single emoji response posts in the future for just this sort of thing.

Question: I used to view the prior board with vB 3.0 style. It looks like this option is still listed in 'Preferences' but it doesn't look like vB3.0 any more. I'm ok with the new format but am wondering whether that's just a transition glitch or permanent?

It's a glitch in the matrix. Try now. If you're looking for vB3.0, it's been renamed to FSUniverse Classic and has been updated a little though we did try to keep it as close to the original as possible.

There used to be, for lack of a better term, a table of contents at the bottom right of the screen in order to go to other forums quickly. What happened to that option?

I gave a like to a post and a thumbs up sign appeared. I see there are 4 other signs, which i don't really understand. Does this mean we can give/receive negative points if someone does not like our posts? I never use the facebook signs other than a smilie, which is pretty clear.

I really don't see the point in using signs that are not absolutely clear. Having five different options is too much. I never liked it on facebook. Why do we have to click on that silly icon to see who liked or disliked us? It was much easier and faster to read the names listed below.

I don't like the idea of negative points. If someone dislikes you (not just the post), you could get a lot of negative points. What i used to like about this board was that there were no negatives.

Use the same pull down menu to get to New Posts (https://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/whats-new/posts/). From there, find the Filter option and change it to show unread threads from threads you watch.

Then you've got no unread posts in that thread.

WOW! Kudos to you ServerGuy. That was pretty seamless. I wouldn't mind a little more color in the thread fields. but other than that, it is pretty great.
