I saw it in practice today. It's just a fabulous choice, IMO. I know, I know . . . all the reused programs. But this is so
them! It stands out from every other team in the larger field. Builds and builds. It's so dramatic. And they have really improved so much as a team since 2012. I don't know what the full program will look like yet. They left a lot out of it during the practice run through, and I didn't see any of the new elements they have developed recently. I hope some of them will be in it to update the impact and power of the program. But the music is so
right for them.
Was Je Suis Malade snubbed by the judges? Did people think they deserved to medal with it over Pechelat/Bourzat? I honestly don't remember.
The program was a million miles better than P&B's Mummy program. Whether W&P were developed enough as skaters at that point of time to take advantage of it in France may be arguable. But they are developed enough as skaters now. They were faster than Virtue & Moir today. Their programs are not as full, but wonderful speed and flow. (Unfortunately the twizzles were not-so-hot. Come on, guys. Just go out there and skate
your way).
Also, Madison Hubbell is selling the ______ out of this new FD. I still think the opening piece of music goes on too long, but I liked the ending much better this time around. And again, this style
really fits this team.
Also had terrific speed today. It's just great to see the diversity among the dance field this season. So many of the top teams doing
their thing instead of trying to chase teams with someone else's style.
If everyone skates well, it should be a great battle this weekend

.
(Though, by golly, the depth in the pairs field is ridiculous here).
