The only mistake I admit to is not calling your comments “obtuse” the first time. Let me fix that:So you admit that your original statement was illogical?![]()
Plushenko has become one of my favorite instagram follows because of his many charming videos of him and his son, learning skating, dance, and all kinds of other things. He really is adorable and they are adorable together. That was the cutest thing I've seen this season. He's adorable.
Skaters are like actors. They perform and outside the program they are whatever they are. Just because they chose to skate to Jewish music, they don’t come home and start celebrating Jewish festivities. I would find it creepy if a Christian person was praying in a different religion only because they skate to a music from a different culture. The only mistake I admit to is not calling your comments “obtuse” the first time. Let me fix that:
- There is no equivalency between an observation that an actor/performer wearing a “jewish costume” or a “holocaust costume” looks strange when making a Sign of the Cross once “on stage”, and your idiotic interpretation that it means I am asking the performer to switch religions.
- And there is even less equivalency and more idiocy in your comment “does that mean one must become a prostitute if skating to Moulin Rouge”… besides the fact that there are no prostitutes in Moulin Rouge..![]()
Are you really dumb, or passive aggressive?....Skaters are like actors. They perform and outside the program they are whatever they are. Something about the pot calling the kettle black comes to my mind. Are you really dumb, or passive aggressive?....Out of what bodily cavity did you pull out a suggestion of "going home and celebrating jewish holidays" and "christian having to pray in a different religion"...

She is "on stage" when the music starts. Before the start of her program, she has every right to prepare for the skate the way she wants. And if she wants to make the Sign of the Cross to feel more comfortable, it's her decision. It's before the "act" begins, nobody has to watch it.The only mistake I admit to is not calling your comments “obtuse” the first time. Let me fix that:

You're nuts.....Something about the pot calling the kettle black comes to my mind.
Well, that is a consideration for sure. Yet a lot of skaters get into the act "as soon as they enter the ice" especially ice dancers. But it a matter of one's view.... true. She is "on stage" when the music starts. Before the start of her program, she has every right to prepare for the skate the way she wants. Be glad it's just limited to countries and not galaxies! I would hate for a lady to skate like this, and some critic call her a Patok! http://oi66.tinypic.com/209p0cx.jpgWell, yould you suggest the skaters change their beliefs and become Jewish only because they chose Jewish music to skate to? Where is it going to end? Should Ashley become a prostitute because she decided to skate to Moulin Rouge? Should everyone skate to the music from their own country so that they don’t offend anyone?
I must say I find it offensive, but I also find any other showing of a belief outside a church/synagogue/mosque offensive.
And yes, I am the kind of person who found the Aboriginal dance offensive and the Indian dance or pair routine by Olympic gold winners.
And I also am not ok with this season's music choices by Peter Liebers and Nicole Schott who are both doing "Schindler's List". At least she is Polish. But it shows some blindness to history and responsibility as a Getman citizen.
I am sure both chose it because they just like the very emotional music. Which is tasteless, in my opinoon, but I can also understand that they had a different education than me who is around 20 years older.

Hava Naglia is just a folk song, like Kalinka or Arirang, no? I never knew it was supposed to be religious.
As a jew I can tell you it's more traditional than religious. The text is not sacred or anything but it is part of the culture. The main theme means "let's be happy, let's celebrate"..Hava Naglia is just a folk song, like Kalinka or Arirang, no? I never knew it was supposed to be religious.
"Yes, we did not get to the Olympic Games in Korea, but it does not change anything for us. There are a lot of important competitions ahead. We hope we will go to the next Olympic Games in 2022. With Hungarian citizenship, I began to live a bit easier in terms of visas, very happy about it "- said Yanovskaya

cause Elena asked her for a time out..Yeah, Kustarova booted I/S and they moved to Gorshkov. Imma get some popcorn and dive into russian forums.
Well, kinda strange cause I/S are already working with Gorshkov for more than a week.cause Elena asked her for a time out..
I guess, she doesn't want to train and work hard, again..
What a waste of talent![]()
Kustarova said she questioned pair's work ethics and when she voiced her complaints, Elena asked for some time-out, which dragged on for a week, after that Kustarova showed them the door.Well, kinda strange cause I/S are already working with Gorshkov for more than a week.
Remember this is why Zhulin kicked I/K to the curb back in 2011 he said they had terrible work habits. People like to talk about Nikita being the problem with that team but they both were at fault and it seems neither of them has learned anything over the years.Kustarova said she questioned pair's work ethics and when she voiced her complaints, Elena asked for some time-out, which dragged on for a week, after that Kustarova showed them the door.
