German Skating News - Part 3

Nicole is back! Love her new SP. She looks absolutely gorgeous, love the dress. She looks fierce and in shape! Yes!

Oh yes, she is back! I like the new style of her short, she needed to show a new side, not only lyrical again, so the short is great. great costume, good choreo (who did this?) , fierce, attack; great marks she got.

unfortunately the free is kinda rough though. it might work if skated clean; she needs to get rid of the silly mistaks; but this was a very decent outing to start the season. i am very optimistic though she came in 3rd (by a nose) of the german ladies.

Finally we got our criteria of nominations:
http://www.eislauf-union.de/Veroeff...terien_Newsdetail_564_kkdetail_view_news.html

Remains almost the same for euros:

2 best results of a competition in cateory 1, 2 or 3 or the german nationals are counting.

category 1: isu jgp, gp
category 2: challenger series
category 3: nrw (dance and singles), bavarian open

important change adding category 3 (before it was only 1+2); as it secures the audience they might see lots of german skaters at nrw trophy.
nrw trophy usually scores high, so it might be a showdown here and at nationals in the end.
bavarian open are way too late, so the results there do not count towards the euros ranking.

the one(s) leading the race go to euros, the worlds spot(s) are decided at euros.

Herceg with no triple at all in the free skate at dresden.
oh my :wall:

Helleken beating Schmidt, Isaev and Herceg ... wonder if she will get a JGP as a result of this skate now. She is listed as substitute for EST and GER

For the Men I woudl expect Stoll and Hess to keep the Dresden spots, though Gurdhzi wasnt scoring too bad for his first Junior competition

Shari Koch posts about moving to Milan.

So I guess Koch/Nüchtern are now with Fusar-Poli/Caruso, or?

Someone has detailed info?

Is taking to long road of rehab and hopes to be bsck in time for Nationals.
with only one spot for men at euros, i already can see the drama, if liebers might get a bye after a narrow win at nationals:watch:

i just hope peter can somehow come back and have a non-injured career ending.

Tanja Szewczenko will take part in the 2nd season of 'Ewige Helden' ('Eternal heroes'); it's a tv show about former national sport stars; they compete against each other in different competitions to search a winner; the competitions are related to something they needed in their sport life: concentration, endurance, will,...

I liked the 1st season a lot as the athletes do a personal review of their career, explaining it to the other athletes...I am really curious about Tanjas point of view. I'll keep you updated.

Interview with Annette Dytrt
http://www.figureskating-online.com/annette-dytrt.html

She talks about how her show career with Yannick started/developed, her engagement with holiday on ice.

Refelects on her career, the pairs tryout with norman jeschke; thinks maybe she should have started shows earlier, though winning nationals again and coming in 7th at euros was a nice success; now she's 32, wants kids, and sees, how time runs by.

Right now she's living in Paris.

Loved the worked at IceDome, will take part in shows in germany and kings on ice.

Wants to be pregnant in the next 5 years and then return as a showskater. Sees herself maybe on the ice in 10 years as a coach, more as a choreographer; Yannick wants to be pairs coach. (what a hot coaching team that would be :smokin:)

Favourite Quote:
Q: What are your advices for the current generation?
A: I have to admit, I never was the competitive one (:rofl::rofl: ), now we have a lot of german girls who have that competitive type. ... My advice: If something happens, don't look back, always ahead. Follow your goals, if you do believe, you will reach your dreams.

2nd favourite quote:
Q: What are the differences to competitive sport, what are the commonalities?
A: ... We love this show life, we want to give a show to the audience. I always was a show girl and could enjoy it more. I do not miss the competitive sport. (:rofl::rofl: )

---

Gotta love her.
:glamor:

Does somebody know why Weinzierl and Schott aren't going to Nebelhorn Trophy. They've disappeared from Entry list. What a pity. I think German girls need to compete more amongst themselves.

Any news on Nelli? Is she still looking for a new partner?
(Haven't been around lately, maybe I missed an update)

Amazing JGP by Hocke. She has some star factor. Love her SP too but also happy that she is improving in her jumps... Going for 3 lz in fp.

Very disappointed by Mueller/Dieck! They finished last in Salt Lake City with only 109 p. Already the SD was not good since they achieved only 40 p. I thought maybe it was a rough day and they can regroup for the FD but it didn't happen. I was really thinking they might could come closer to Lorenz/Polizoakis since they are training with Zoueva in the US now most of the time.
Maybe it was just a rough competition. Can't wait to see the "battle" next week at Nebelhorn-Trophy. Very excited to see the programs of Lorenz/Polizoakis... especially after the whole Drama with seperating etc...!

they were never on the entry list :P

Dytrt/Bonheur took part in 'Germany got talent'; (they made it to the final in the czech edition already)
You can see them starting the last minute of part 2, and then going on in part 3 right from the start.

http://www.tvnow.de/rtl/das-supertalent/breakdance-akrobatik-und-tischtrommel/player

They got a big standing ovation, though all started with a big trainwreck stumble by Yannick. Theygot three 'yes' and made it into next round.

Oh weh! Perhaps I mixed Nebelhorn with Lombardia Trophy

Thanks.

Sounds logical.

Bock will be the one skating next at Nebelhorn, followed by Weinzierl (Ondrej Nepala) and Schott (Finlandia). Maybe they would clash against each other in their final challenger, we'll have to wait; I am already happy, that they skated against each other not before nationals this season; hope for more fights.

So, new elements for Savchenko/Massot according to that article
http://www.sport.de/news/ne2433274/savchenko-traumhochzeit--dreifach-axel/

As we know, they will go for triple axel, and will have a 3sal-3sal-sequence for the free too.

I am really curious and excited here, as here 3t-3t-seq looked pretty safe and the sal was not her best jump,so lets see.

She had a hard fall yesterday in practice and some inflammation in her teeth. nontheloss, aliona will start :respec:

Did Joti officially change his name? Last season he's been announced with his first full name Panagiotis but i saw at the ISU Bio that the ISU changed it to Joti. Also on the Starting Order at the Nebelhorn-Trophy he's listed as Joti.

Can't wait to see Aliona! I believe she will get her gold in 2018. she's my spirit animal!

Completely blown away by S&M's sp.

I wasn't crazy about it when I saw them do an exhibition version a few months back, but the actual competitive version is probably the best pairs sp in years. There's more dance content in the connecting holds and choreography than most SDs Sphilband puts out.

I'm surprised the crazy catch on the twist made it into the final version. I figured there would be some rule or technicality that would make it illegal, or at least not viewed as "correctly" done by the judges or tech panel.
